Weedman Surrey

I had weeds in my garden & clover. Called this lot - they said NO problem - they can get rid and leave me with a great looking lawn. Thye have been nothing but problems - excuses were incorrect application, grass needing top dressing etc. to the point that the product burned the grass. They did come out to repair the grass but had to be recalled to fix that. I have tried to call and have left several messages over the past couple of months. Still no return call. It'll be the BBB next. I have now been left with grass in worse condition. How they can amaze me - is for the owner to call me!

Lawn Maintenance

Weed Man did a good job of maintaining our lawn. As promised, they always returned to respray weeds if necesary, albeit not always immediately. Unfortunately, despite the quality lawn care, their telemarketing team drove us crazy. Eventually, we got so fed up with their non-stop, high pressure sales tactics that we switched to a different company. We now pay more for lawn care but it's worth the peace of mind of not having to deal with their incessant phone calls.

Lawn care

I have never dealt with any company worst than this. Absolutely no service, no ethics. They harass you once you become their customer. This company should not be allowed to operate, I am suing them for harassment.

weed and fertilize

bought their groupon. I was told technican would call back that night. took 3 more calls from me finally technican called said he was going. I assummed it had been done, but 3 days later they called said it was now going to be done. Called office the women on the ph could not comfirm if it had been completed the time before. It has been done, but many areas have not killed the weeds. I would not recommend them.

Lawn service

This is the worst lawn service ever. Previously had another company that was great for the first few years, then started slacking off, Weedman came by and offered service, were told it would be less expensive than previous company and better services. It is more expensive and we have more weeds than ever. Called them 3 times last year to tell them about this and they sent someone out who said yeah you are right, but nothing was done. They never do down the side of my house even though I told the salesman that this was part of the lawn and it was to be included. Have more weeds than ever this year, some of them 3 feet high. Came home 2 days ago and found they had been here again and supposedly fertilized. There are 3 foot weeds everywhere why was no weed control done. This is the worst service ever. Have sent them a note telling them to cancel the services. I am no longer going to pay for no service.

Gardening

I used Weed Man from Surrey, BC. DO NOT hire this company. They did not perform any services to my backyard and were witnessed just dropping off bills and never doing the service billed for. After paying over $200, I cancelled the contract as obviously I was being totally taken advantage of.They have been calling my house at least four times a day for payment of the remaining amount. The manager said it would be taken off my account, but now they have sent me to collections. Never hire this company. They will take your money, harass you relentlessly and then take you to collections for something you do not owe as no services were provided. Do your own yard work. This has been a nightmare.

Lawn Care - Weed Management

Two summers ago (2012), I called, who I thought were the best in the business, based on their name of Weed Man. Weeds seemed to start to cause a problem. Weed Man guaranteed they would be able to get control and rid of the weeds. I paid some money for this service ahead of time. The plan is, is that you can request several applications of the weed control as needed.

Found out near the fall time, that the application of the product had been inappropriately applied. e.g. stomp the area of the weeds/clover prior to applying the weed control. They had been watched on several occasions and this had not been done.

The second year, I thought I would ask them again as they had started later the previous year. However, after I had found out that the weed killer had not been applied correctly and that the solution had now been improved, I would have another try. This was with the understanding that the weeds would be gone. That the bill would be paid after satisfaction of the weeds gone, otherwise for them to continue. Course, foolishly, I took their word for it. NEVER AGAIN!

There were several applications. Many where done and it rained shortly after, heard several stories from several people on how it should be applied. They call themselves experts. I have two different reports indicating what they believe needed to be done to the lawn. I called the company up. Their excuse was that it was a new person that inspected the lawn. Not one thing was the same for this so called inspection of the lawn.

I did contact their offices, have been assured that one person would be maintaining and ensuring the products would be applied correctly. This is their business, Weed Man. By the end of last year, the weeds were still enjoying their lives in the grass.

Absolutely use these guys with caution and would strongly recommend NOT using them for anything!

They promise the best service extra, however they do not proven that to me. There seems to be several complaints regarding this company across Canada and would encourage you to search for reviews prior to hiring this crowd!

Lawn Care

I Started using their weeding services at the beginning of this summer. I was disappointed when they came out and just sprayed everywhere. By that I mean all over the kids toys. Now being reasonable I just asked if they could call ahead of time so that we can move the kids toys out of the way and other things. They did this which was quite nice. I don't expect them to move my kids stuff. After time (3-4 weeks) went on I noticed that the weeds were not going away, so I called and they said that was normal to wait for about 6 weeks before I will see a noticeable difference. Right around that time they cold called to offer some of their other services. I told the lady that I had not yet seen a noticeable difference in my weeds. She offered to send someone out right away for spot treatments. She then went on to offer me a grass seeding service which I was not planning on but decided to go ahead with it. I specifically asked her to have the technician call me ahead of time so that I can be ready. She said it wouldn't be for another 6 weeks because they had to order the "special" seeds in for the September month. No problem. Some weeks after that I got another cold call for their lawn Aeration services. I agreed and asked them to call me ahead of time. Then I got another call offering some other services, I refused and asked when my other services were going to be completed and they said soon.
I got a call the middle of October saying they would be by to do the seeding the following day. I went home early to cut the grass. Tomorrow came and no one from their company did. I worked from home that day because I was already unsure of their services. No one came by night fall so I went out to investigate and there were no seeds on the ground, no invoice at the front door. Then 2 days later on Oct 19th I got a call from a technician saying they would be out the next day to do the lawn aeration. Again, no one came. It was a Saturday and we were home for most of the day, and come one, we should be able to see the holes in the ground when we got home!
Magically a bill appeared on their online services stating the lawn was seeded, so naturally I phoned to inquire. They said someone had been out and that their systems stated that the lawn was seeded. I said " well you are more than welcome to come have a look, there are no seeds here." They said a supervisor will be by to have a look in a few days. We determined that he would be by on a Friday before 2 pm. Friday came, we called 4 times during Friday to see if the guy was coming. Every time we were told "Yup, no problem, before 2 pm" Needless to say no one came. Meanwhile we had another company come out and give use their assessment and opinions to if there were any lawn seeds there. He said there were none.
On Tuesday morning I get a call from the WeedMan supervisor saying he has been at my house this morning and that his inspection was inconclusive. I asked him why he didn't call before arriving, he said he was unaware that I had asked for a call. Then I asked why he didn't come on Friday, he said he wasn't aware he was suppose to come on Friday. This guy was obviously just a messenger and i felt bad for him. He told me that he did not see any evidence of lawn seeding. I said great, all I want is not to be charged for services that I didn't get. I don't need or want anything else. He said that someone from head office will be calling me. Sure enough withing 15 minutes a lady phoned and left me a message. I was unable to answer so I called back in about 10 minutes. A different lady answered the phone and I explained that so and so called me regarding my services. She said" Oh no problem, I can help with that since I have already spoken to so and so about it"
This lady is a terrible customer service representative. I had allowed her to explain herself regarding the situation and that they would have to send another service technician out next week to verify. Then when I started to speak (not yell) she was extremely defensive and wouldn't even let me finish my sentences. I said to her I don't think the services you are billing me for were completed. She took that as if I was telling her that their technicians were not telling the truth. I said that I didn't know anything about the technicians but perhaps they had done the wrong house by accident? In her eyes there were no other possible explanations except for that the Heavy Rains must have washed the seeds into the soil. I explained to her that if someone would have come by sooner they would have noticed that there were no seeds on the lawn the same day or the next few days after that of when they claim the services were done. I explained to her that the lawn aeration wasn't done either and she snapped back saying that I had cancelled it. I said yes I did, a few days after they said they were going to be there. " Don't blame it on me. You are correct that I cancelled it, but only after I was so dissatisfied with your services, not before."
All in all I simply asked her to allow me to finish my sentences and then she really blew her top. I asked her what would happen if they came by next week and determined that there was no seeding done. It is already too late to be doing seeing at this time of year let alone when they find out next week what happened, and probably to wait another week for them to mobilize themselves to do it. She refused to talk to me about the possible options. She said that at this time all we can do is wait for the technician to take a look at it again. I asked her yet again, if there is found to be lawn seeds what would happen ( Seeing as i expressed to her I wanted to cancel my service) and I also asked her the alternative, what would happen if you didn't find any seeds? She still refused to speak to me about the alternatives.
(Please keep in mind that I have bare spots on my lawn, seeds would be easily spotted. )

All in all a very frustrating experience, i went with this company even though they were more expensive hoping to receive good customer service. I didn't get that, and I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Annual weed package

I had considerable moss in my back yard as well as clover throughout the front. It took about 5-6 weeks until the clover was under control and then the yard look great. I did get a couple of calls trying to up sell me on other items but I was satisified with the basic package.

poor service

They sent a confirmataion email for all kinds of services I nevered aksed for on the same date I complained of their service. Not a letter of promising better service !! I was shocked. There was no single patch of moss turning into black after their moss control. I do not think they did it at all. Not even a size of dime turning into black. I just waited assuming nothing was done yet. The weed was on my KNEE HIGH. When I complained for both, they say they will send someone for weed control. Nobody showed up. Second time nobody showed up. I asked for cancelling the service, and refund on moss control. They say it is MY RESPONSIBILITY to call them back for reapplication of moss control !!!!!! I assumed nothing was done because I did not see a single 1cm2 turning into black.. Nobody showed up for the fertilizer application but I got billed for it. Not sure how they contract out the service. Better to do the job properly. .Otherwise they will lose all customers. My parents ended up hirng Weedman because of their aggressive and rude maretking. They are not dealing with the complaints properly. They are very very rude. I have never had such bad experience as a consumer entire my life.
