Billing issue plus operating manager behavior. Absolutely unprofessional

$1,020.27 is the total cost including HST for 3 people, 7 hours and 26 ft. truck. Move is March 27, 2021.
When the bill came, they charged me for 9.5hrs. When they worked for
less than 8.5hrs. They took more than 1 hr. break. but claimed 1/2hr off. They also charged me $75.00 for truck. When the original quote included the truck fee. Based on the quote the bill should be $1,077.25. They charged me $274.23. When I talked to their operation manager, he misbehaved. When I asked to talk to the sales person to confirm the quote. The sales person totally denied that he had given such a quote. I have proof in writing from this sales person. I know the names of these two staff. I do not want to write it here. In addition, they damaged our furniture, when complained/showed, the mover said what can they do. I am totally disappointed with the service. I would not recommend them for any move. I will never use them again

It is so unfortunate and disappointing to receive such a negative review over a small misunderstanding ignoring all the efforts put by the crew in moving the entire house. We sent a written quote just like we always do and the consultant gave half HST rebate if the client pays half of the billed amount in cash. It is that simple. After the job got finished, the client intended on paying the full amount via credit card. How could we give a tax rebate in that event? Since it was an hourly priced job, we only billed for the number of hours the crew worked for after deducting the break time which was 9 hours in total. ($119 an hour plus one time truck fee of $125). We would like to address HomeStars to look into this wrongful allegation as we have an invoice as a proof that we only billed for 9 hours and no extra truck fee of $75 was added. There were no damages reported to the office at the time of billing and have a recording to support that. - TouchWood Movers Team.
