Sure Loc Interlocking - Out of Business

Our appointment was for 6pm, the salesman Shawn was there 5 min before, that was a good start, after properly introducing himself, we walked around the property and I gave him my thoughts of what I wanted to see,10 minutes later Shawn came up with something I didn’t even think was possible, a waterfall going into my pool with a natural stone diving board, pillars on each side of my stairs going into the pool with lights and a fire pit in the corner. After we agreed on an approximate design it took about half an hour to measure everything and get the quote, as that was going on I was explaining to my wife the new idea that Shawn suggested, she was completely amazed with the paradise that was being suggested. When Shawn came back into the backyard he explained, that there might be a small extra charge to change the pump, that was needed to run the new waterfall feature, letting me know right there and then that the quote could be a few hundred dollars more, I was impresses with his level of professionalism and being up front. The total price was discussed and some of my concerns were answered. Shawn then said if I would like to make a detailed computer diagram it would be ready in a couple of days, I said “I loved the ideas you gave me” and I would get back to him in a couple of days. I had 2 more quotes coming by other company’s. And to make this story short the other companies #1 company‘s price was much higher. #2 company didn’t even understanding the work I wanted to create and said it couldn‘t be done. So I called Shawn to confirm a day for the computer diagram and 2 days later we signed the agreement on a detailed contract. Shawn said the start date would be in 2 weeks and said the job would take about 2 days to complete. I was amazed how quickly my work would be done. A week and a half went by I received a call from Ron one of the owners, he explained that they were going to be at my house on Monday morning at 7am, I said perfect... Monday came 7am and the trucks and machines started rolling in, I was really impressed with that they had the tools for the job. Excavation started and I went out, Ron approached me with his partner Dallas, they briefed me on some details and off they went. The work was completed like an assembly line, and they kept me involved throughout the whole project, I never felt in the way, everything was so detailed on the diagram there was no guess work. I saw Shawn the next day, He ask me “how does it feel to have a little paradise in your backyard” and we both laughed. Half day later the final touches were being completed. When the work was completed Dallas came by to finalize the payment, he brought with him a gift basket extending his hand to thank me once again for the business.

P.S If you are wondering why this letter is so detailed, I want to tell you about this company’s great standards of excellence and a level of respect for their clients, this is something I have never seen before in business.

We had our work done this fall and had a great experience with SureLoc. I was a little nervous at first, only because of the stories you read out there regarding contractors, however in my case everything progressed smoothly. Tony, the sales represenative listened to our needs and is very professional. Work took a bit longer than expected, however it was worth the wait. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail from start to end. My wife and I are very happy with the finished product! I would definately recommended sureloc for your hardscape needs.

rear patio was done not bad, front patio has several mistakes made.
Stairs where a total screw up, slope on landings was 1" per foot, dangerous to walk on, yes they came back to fix after 6-8 weeks of waiting and still did the stairs wrong, risers are all different and landings still not sloped correct
this company should stick to flat patios
make sure any drawings are exact as the workers dont ask questions just follow the picture, as result we had 2 feet cut out of our driveway we did not want removed
overall was not happy with sureloc

After we finally got this company to our home for an official quote... we are thoroughly happy with the finished product! The quote was very reasonable (and we were not hit with any surprise additonal costs either), especially for Downtown Toronto! The 4 workers were very personable, professional, and overall great guys. The job was done in one day. We had the quote one week and by the next week we had our job completed. We will definitely use this company for our front patio next spring!!!! Many thanks for a job well-done and within a very reasonable budget.

My complaint below was resolved by the owner himself. He came the next day as he promised, and fix the backyard door. Thanks Ron.

Jeff the sales guy said we will be booked in 4 weeks but it took them 7 weeks to finally call us after we paid the downpayment.Shawn promised that the work will be great and will have no problem if we pay them full so we agreed as both me and my husband work far from Milton. Guess what, up to now the backyard door has not been put back...I have some issues with the work and I was promised that someone will comeback to finish everything. It's been 3 weeks now and all I got are promises from these guys...So frustrating!!!

We had our interlocking done by Sure loc. We had taken several estimates from other contractors and Sure loc was competitive. They really stood out in that they can do the job sooner and much much more quickly than anyone else. Shawn was very helpful with designing the layout. He found a way to give us what we wanted within our budget. It looks marvelous. It only took the guys a half day to extend the driveway 3 feet, create a walkway to the porch, cap the porch, excavate and border a front garden area and run a patio along the width at the back of the house. While working they answered any questions i had curteously. They are proffessional and pay attention to details. Where the patio is curved if they had to cut a brick to less than half an inch to fill a gap they did, so that no area looked like it had too much sand. Everything they did is very level and sturdy. When there was a question over whether something was being done as we had discussed i called Shawn who immediately took care of it. They went around the property with me 3 times upon completion to ensure i was happy and all my questions were answered. They also took care to clean up after themselves including not only their own garbage but all the rocks, stones, dirt i didn't want anymore. They even went as far as washing down my windows and doors, and even the grass, to remove the dust residue and sand. They called the night before to tell me they are coming the next morning and arrived on time. They never tried to give me a date of when they are coming until they new for sure, and i appreciated that more than contractors who make dates and break them. I will and am recommending them to friends and family members with confidence.

The front porch is finally done, Looks good, though I've noticed that few minor things need to be fixed which they said will be fixed and promptly one of their employees came to look at it and will be coming to fix the issue. Over all the front porch looks good.
