All good eventually

The most important thing to take from this review is that safetech take reviews on homestars very seriously. I have been a customer for a while. I had no complaints during that time. I decided to part ways. While I felt the company didn't respond appropriately to my needs at first, after writing here, safetech went to great lengths to ensure I was satisfied.

All good until trying to leave

I have been with SafeTech for almost 6 years. Installation was great. And I have been satisfied with my service since then. However, I was interested in parting ways after being a customer for so long. I tried contacting someone from customer service but kept getting an answering machine. I finally got someone on the phone and rather than listening to me, he offered me other products. I explained that I was looking to make a change and was told I was locked in and my contract renews yearly. I asked for a copy of the contract and after looking into my rights as a consumer, I got SafeTech to agree to go our separate ways with 60 days notice. However, I have made requests to receive a "final bill" covering the remaining outstanding balance which is less than the final 3 months and have received no response.
Again, a company is only as good as their products and their customer service and often we right these reviews at the beginning our contracts. I think it's important for those of you considering a company to also see how they treat customers when they are ready to move on.
