Quality Restorations and Renovations

My husband hired Quality Restorations to replace a poorly built wooden deck last year in our new home. They were very responsive and their workmanship is excellent. There were some delays in building supplies and material costs, but it was due to the pandemic and Quality Resorations honoured their contract. The deck is exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend this company.

Stop searching, stop getting other quotes and just hire Doug and his team.

We built two homes (the first half of the construction was during the pandemic) and Doug and his team were the most: (1) responsive, (2) clear communicators, (3) timely, (4) on budget, and (5) precise people we dealt with. I could not believe the level of service, quality of workmanship and speed. I wish all of our trades were like Doug and his team (a special shout out to Patrick).

What is more, when we were struggling to get our occupancy certificate because another trade didnt do their job, Doug and Patrick stepped in, no questions asked, charged us almost nothing for the fix, and help ensure we were able to get our occupancy on time for the move.

I have not and would not leave a review like this for any other trade. If you want peace of mind (ie, no stress about budget, no stress about quality, no stress about timing and chasing contractors, and the confidence you can clearly communicate what you want and get what you want) these are your guys.

Our house had many damaged exterior bricks (80 were eventually replaced), missing mortar and all the parging. I contacted Quality Restorations & Renovations, who seemed to have a good idea of what would be required and came up with a quote in a couple of days. They started the following week, but because an adjoining house as only a few feet away, they had to use scaffolding, so I was impressed the work took them only three days. Especially impressive, they also righted a brick pillar supporting the front porch, not on the quote.

Doug and his team did exterior brick cleaning and painting and they also re-did our back porch and garbage bin. They were very responsive and the work was professionally done. Overall we were very happy with the work.

Wow! Doug, Patrick and team did a fantastic job on our project from start to finish. The project only took one week from signing to completion, but our backyard has been entirely transformed. Doug communicated well with us throughout the process and took the time to ensure the requirements for the project were well understood. We are very happy with the end product and would highly recommend Quality Restorations!

We had to get our original slate roof replaced urgently a couple months ago. We got an amazing service from the time we contacted Doug to the completion of the roof by Ilia.
The same company rebuilt our chimney some years ago too. We were very happy with their work.

Doug and his team replaced a *very* run-down front porch with a very smart-looking traditional Toronto front porch. We are very pleased with is, as are the neighbours!

We partnered with Quality Restoration and Renovations to fully renovate our second floor bathroom. We are thrilled with the results. The team were incredibly knowledgable and professional. We are now embarking on a bigger project with the same team to do the main bedroom, ensuite and walk in closet. We can't wait.

Doug was very friendly and knowledgeable and seems to have a lot of past and current experience with multiple types of (decking) projects. His team that were working here were also great! Very friendly and helpful.
It was a bit of a tricky situation to do 3 decks (3 townhomes) in our tight little space but they did it, and were clean and organized.
So far, the composite decking seems to be much easier to maintain than wood, and I really like the colour!
I will say it took a bit longer than expected - I get delays happen - but potentially taking on a lot of projects at one time results in others get pushed back so that was a bit disappointing.
Overall, I love my deck and have gotten lots of good use from it since
being finished! :D
