Pratt Homes

Though we have not moved into our new house yet. The process this far has been amazing. My fiancée and I are living in Alberta, we called spoke with Stephanie from east side village originally to get more information, pricing and availability. She had great friendly and knowledge customer service. She provided us with everything we needed to know to move forward with our purchase. I recently flew to ontario and picked all of our options with Cynthia. I felt that the design studio had a great selection and variety. Being a young couple we didn't have a lot of money put aside for upgrades. Cynthia right from the beginning explained she would show me everything standard, unless I was unhappy with the options then she would gladly show me other upgraded options. Needless to say they had everything that I was looking for. She was helpful and supportive through the whole process. Since my trip a few weeks ago she has sent me updates on the progress with pictures. She is GREAT at what she does. We are very excited for our new Pratt Home. I will write in another review once we have moved in. Thank you Pratt!!!!

I am writing this to anyone who is about to buy a Pratt Home. DON'T! They promise alot of things to you but as soon as you sign the dotted line; they have every single excuse in the world. I've researched alot of houses and came across Pratt homes. The prices came across significantly cheaper and now I am realizing why they are what they are. Let just say that you get what you paid for. For quality in service and professionalism. If you have already purchased a home from them, CHECK EVERY corner of the house. ie... cracks in windows, doors properly shut, ducts, bath tubs, walls, carpet etc...

After downsizing from our house and living at the Manhattan condo project for the past 3 months, we are very happy with our decision to purchase this condo at this location for the following reasons:
- the view of the ecopark from our 5 windows, 4 of which are floor to ceiling! It's very relaxing to come home to the woods.
- The layout of the condo is so spacious. Stephanie showed us the options to adjust our floorplans and create our own living space.
- We are happy with the construction of our unit. Any issues we have had, Ramona in the office has dealt with quickly and efficiently.
- This building is so soundproof. The hallways, and even inside the units are so quiet .
- Cynthia worked with us and our budget and helped us customize our bathrooms and especially our kitchen upgrade selections.

I deal with builders on a day-to-day basis but none are as approachable as Karen (and her team). She cares about all the communities she builds and the families that live there. Recently, she came to the table on a very important issue and dealt with it in a reasonable, caring, professional manner. Her willingness to deal with issues beyond warranty is a refreshing change in this day and age.

My wife and I purchased a home from Pratt Homes in Eastside Village in February of 2012 and we have been very happy with everything. From the moment we began dealing with them, we felt very comfortable and appreciated. Cynthia was exceptional and really helped us come to agreement on a few design ideas.

Pratt really did well by us. The home was ready when they promised. We experienced a couple small issues but their service department was diligent in getting those resolved.

Stacey (my wife) is very critical when it comes to customer service, she has very high expectations, so for her to say she was impressed really means a lot. I was a stress case through the entire thing, I think I called Bruno about 100 times but he was always helpful and made me feel better.

I award Pratt Homes the WORST BUILDER IN THE WORLD! Please save yourself the agony and disappointment and DO NOT purchase from them. The first 2 years we had their service department return numerous times to fix major issues and each time the repair looked worse than before we called. Disappointed with their craftsmanship we stopped calling and spent time and money doing our own repairs. 5 years later my husband decided to remove some drywall during our renovations and discovered THIN CLEAR DROP SHEET was used as a vapour barrier. Im pretty sure that is not up to code. Pratt homes never ceases to surprise me. I am terribly disappointed with my home.

My fiancé and I bought our town home in the Southwoods development in January 2013. Since we have taken ownership in March 2013 we have been nothing but pleased with the result of our new home. The workmanship and quality that has been put into building it has proved to be good!
From the time we met with Sue in the sales office, Cynthia in the design department, and the workers on site everyone has been more than accommodating and so helpful!
My father that has been a contractor for custom homes for over 35 years has gone over my house again and again. Everything that he has seen in our home is above code regulations and in his words "looks good!".
I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to recommend Pratt Homes to people I know. So far, it's been a dream come true to have such a wonderful place to call home!

A few months ago we purchased a condo in the Manhattan development currently under construction in Barrie. Since that time, everyone involved continues to be friendly and helpful. We’ve gone through the model suite a few times since the purchase and now when we step into the show home trailer, Bruno or Stephanie just smile and hand us the keys.
Our experience with Cynthia has been nothing short of exceptional. We arrived early for our appointment with her to pick colours and extras. We spent the time combing through all the samples and laughed when it was time to meet with her as we had no idea how we were going to narrow our many “likes” down to something that all flowed and worked together. Still to this day I’m not sure how she did it but using samples we had picked she combined our choices and created what is sure to be a comfortable homey environment that we’ll be happy with for many years to come.
And as if that wasn’t more than enough, Cynthia is sending regular updates (complete with pictures) on our home as it progresses through each stage of construction. Even though we do have a habit of attending the construction site when we’re in the Barrie area, she has an opportunity to get pictures we couldn’t possibly from the ground level. Our children live in Calgary, Whitby, Kingston and Barrie; these emails are forwarded on to all of them which always generate great comments when we chat on the phone. More than one of them has indicated this special treatment has given them peace of mind knowing we are in good hands with Pratt Homes as it’s obvious they go the extra mile. Personally, these emails are instrumental in developing within us a happy anticipation that once we do move in, it will be like going home. Thank you all for doing what you do so very well.

We took possession of our home Thursday May 23 2013 I am writing the review Friday May 24 2013. Words cannot describe how disgusted and disappointed I am with the poor quality of our home. I will be making daily reviews. I am going to keep anyone interested in purchasing a home with Pratt Homes informed as we go through the process of trying to get our new home built properly. We purchased a second home with them in Innisfill and WOW I can't believe it is the same company. At this point I would urge you to look there, the quality seems better and they seem more involved and organized. I am looking forward to my Innisfill home being completed.

My husband and I just recently purchased one the condos in the Southwoods location. We have been renting for a few years and grew tired of it and wanted a new home of our own. Buying a new home has been such an amazing experience! From putting that little red sticker on our lot to picking out everything within was so exciting start to finish. Sue and Mark were always great and able to help us with anything we needed. Always so caring and willing to work around our schedule. The design studio with Cynthia was a blast from start to finish. She was so helpful and knowledgeable on everything and knew how to tie our ideas together. One of my favourite things is getting our home owners update. Every week we get pictures, building updates and helpful advice on how to make moving easier. We are so excited to move in to our new home and will tell anybody who will listen what an amazing experience it has been. We are so happy we went with Pratt. I couldn't imagine a better company to work with.
