We recently had our roof replaced by Penfolds Roofing & we are completely satisfied customers.The price was competitive; the sales person (Adam Boyes) & the crew was professional & very safety conscious; & the cleanup after the job was completed to our satisfaction. The warranty on the roof was a real benefit as we plan on living here for many years & never have to worry about redoing the roof again. We've recently purchased a house in Chilliwack that needs a number of renovations. We asked for quotes from four companies (new shingles, gutters and upgrades to insulation) and selected Penfolds to do the work. Since we are new to Chilliwack we were unfamiliar with the local companies and had no previous relevant local experience to go on. As a result we were really relying on both the quality of the quote and online research of the companies.

Penfolds and its representatives stood out for both the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the information provided by them. I am pleased to report that the work was completed on time and on budget. We were impressed by the diligence of the workers, the quality of the work done and the management of the jobs.

When we needed to re-shingle our roof we wanted to choose a company known for quality work. As well, we needed to know that the company would still be around in the future should any warranty work be needed. We chose Penfolds and we have never regretted the decision. The work was well done, the workers very courteous, and Penfolds easily and seamlessly accommodated our last-minute request to install a sun tunnel. They are very highly recommended.

We did a lot of homework prior to replacing our roof. We researched the various new material options, various material suppliers, and roofing contractors. We also talked to a number of friends who had gone through the same process recently. In the end we chose to work with Adam from Penfolds for the following reasons:

1) We wanted to work with a firm who had a great reputation, stood behind their work and would actually still be in business and willing to respond should we have a problem 10 years down the road. We could have saved a few dollars by getting the material from a contact we had in the roofing supply business and working with a budget team of roofers. One of our neighbours did that, but they really had nobody they could hold accountable when a leak happened. The roofers blamed the shingles and the material supplier blamed the roofers.

2) We wanted top quality material and a top quality installation. We went with Penfolds' treated cedar shingles which come with a 30 year guarantee. (We did this mainly for resale considerations.) Penfolds uses top grade shingles and a high quality treatment, which translated into a great looking roof. (Several of our neighbours saved a few bucks by sourcing their cedar shingles from another group, but 1 year later many of their shingles are twisting and rising off the roof, and their pressure treatment solution left their roof with a funky green hue.)

3) We wanted a professional, well supervised crew. In sharp contrast to a few of the other roofing jobs we had seen in our neighbourhood, Penfolds team worked really quickly, kept the site very clean, protected all our landscaping and took great effort to minimize noise. (Some of the other crews we had seen looked like they were from the cast of Breaking Bad.)

In short, we are very happy with our Penfolds roof. We received a very professional job, at a fair price, without any drama.

I can see why these guys are so well know in the GVRD - A 1 stop shop for having a replaced. Other companies will quote you a price for the roof, but you have to 1 -clean up 2 - take away the old tiles 3 - provide a bin for disposal. All of these things will add to the quoted price.

Penfolds came in and had a new roof on in 2 days! Mess cleaned up, plants taken care of and now our home is leak free. Well worth it!

The dreaded day had come.....we needed to replace our roof. We chose three well known roofing Companies to give us estimates.Penfolds was not the least expensive but their lead man,Sean Crowther, explained why we should not let price totally influence our decision. His professional and courteous manner coupled with his vast knowledge of roofing products and installation sold us on Penfolds.
The crew, headed up by a very affable young man named JR, arrived on time and completed the job on time as well. When they finished our property around the house looked exactly the same as before they started. No plants were damaged, the flower beds were undisturbed, the driveway, patio,deck were spotless. We were extremely impressed.
Ron, the supervisor, was on site daily to insure the job was proceeding as promised. Dave, the safety supervisor, was on site regularly to insure the crew was working securely and out of harm's way. Sean made many visits during the project to answer any questions we may have had.
We would highly recommend Penfolds to anyone planning to re-roof their home or install the roof on their new home. We built our home over 20 years ago and were apprehensive about having to replace our roof, we needed not to worry because we made the right choice....Penfolds roofing....a name you can trust. They are expensive, everyone knows that. But when you get a leak during rainy season, and it's always rainy season in Raincouver, you just want someone to show up and start working on your leak. i didnt want to call a smaller company and wait for the guy to flake out becasuse he says he was too busy on another job and will "try" to come tomorrow. So it ended up being some moss growth that grew a certain way and channeled rain down to 1 particular rusty nail head. We didnt replace the whole roof, just that section. I was kind of miffed that they had to come out twice becasuse the first time, the guy said he didnt see any visible holes, swept the moss away and said it should be good. when it started to look again, thats when they came back the second time to tarp it off for 2 weeks to let it dry completely, then rip out that section and fix it once it and for all.
Like i said, they are expensive, but in a pinch, sometimes you just want someone to get there and take look ASAP.

My roof began to leak and it needed immediate repairing because having to live in "raincouver" with a leaky roof is just no doable. A repair representative was able to come within 20 minutes of my call. A temporary tarp was installed and we were given a very fair price estimate the following day and the roof was completed a week later. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service, quality, and professionalism.

Ours is a large multi peaked roof. From estimate to completion the roof was professional and done well. We chose to move from wood shakes to fiberglass/asphalt and the result with colour consolation looks great.
