MegaCity Roofing re-shingled my roof last fall. I am extremely pleased with their work; in my opinion they are an excellent roofing company. I would definitely recommend them.

Before choosing MegaCity, I learned about re-shingling in general, and then researched 5-6 roofing companies. I researched the products they use -including the product manufacturers- as well as the feedback that these roofing companies received from homeowners that had used their services. I asked my ‘top 3’ roofer-choices to come and give me a quote. While each of them was here preparing their quotes I asked a lot of questions. Some of my questions were loaded (ie, I had a fair idea what the answer should be, and played the ‘dumb blonde’; note - I am a retired engineer who likes to have a good understanding of a job before I make important decisions). I was most impressed with Tom Geo and Megacity Roofing. Tom’s quote wasn’t the cheapest, but his products were/are good, their work comes with a good warranty from a well-established company, he was patient with all my questions, he helped me understand it all, and he didn’t try to B.S. me. Nor did he try to lower the price by telling me I didn’t need something that I knew was important (unlike one of his competitors).

On the day of the job his team got here on-time and went right to work. I was quite impressed with how well they worked together throughout the day; they were a good team. They did my roof -from start to finish- in one day. They cleaned up extremely well too. I did a thorough check for old roofing nails, old shingle pieces, etc. after they left (I have a dog, and I didn’t want to worry that my dog might accidentally step on a nail): I found 4 nails and 2 very small pieces of shingle -- excellent, considering how many old shingles & roofing nails they remove from the roof and then drop to their drop-cloth(es) on the ground.

After the first and second rain I checked inside my attic for any evidence of moisture anywhere in the attic (flashlight and a lot of crawling involved): nothing.
I also wanted to see if I would get any water in my garage during a ‘hard, driving/windy rain’ (I had been getting water in the garage during driving/windy rains prior to this). It was a couple weeks before we got such a rain. When it happened, I noted that I was still getting water in my garage (attic was still fine). It was late in the year, and for several unrelated reasons I didn’t get around to calling Tom until spring. When I called him he agreed to come over without hesitation. While here he/we figured out that the problem was due to an issue with the flashing at the wall (ie, not associated with the shingling job at all). He took care of it (no charge) -even though it wasn’t his problem.

It’s probably obvious, but I am extremely pleased with MegaCity. I would definitely recommend them and would definitely hire them again!!
