Gas fireplace installation

Marsh's Stoves & Fireplaces has installed 2 fireplaces for my family and their product, knowledge and customer service is 5 star! Any time I had questions, Alan answered them quickly both by email and phone. In one instance, he personally came to check on an issue and resolved it quickly. He is passionate about his product and business and cares about his customers. I would recommend Marsh's to anyone!!!

Fireplace Service

We thought we needed a new fireplace, but after having Alan come and see the unit he was very honest and knowledgeable and told me that we did not need a new unit but that mine could be fixed with some new parts. We were overjoyed, as 2 other places said we needed a new fireplace all together. It is nice to see there are still honest companies and people working in this industry.

installation of wood stove insert

After last December's ice storm, I decided a wood stove insert in our traditional inefficient fireplace would be a good idea.
My wife and I visited Marsh's store and got a quote for a wood stove insert and its installation. Normally, i would get one or two other quotes for the same product/service but for whatever reason, I just decided to go ahead with the single quote. After I relay some of the challenges that arose during this project, and how well those challenges were handled, you will understand why I feel like we got very lucky.
Two technicians arrived at our home and proceded to install the stainless steel liner in the chimney and install the stove insert into the fireplace. Unfortunately, while trying to separate the original fireplace damper from the original, the header peice of the granite surround was cracked. Marsh's asked me if I could find a replacement piece of the original granite, and they would re-install the replacement granite piece and then complete the installation.
A week or so later when the original cracked granite header was removed, the lead technician was shocked by the lack of a proper brick layer above the original firebox. In fact, the rubble that was in place of the proper specification of brick (just under 8 inches think) was essentially only some sort of plaster and was so thin in places that the light of a flashlight could be seen on the other side of it. Also the inside of the mantel was charred, indicating that at some point in the past, we almost had a fire! At this point, I suppose Marsh's could have walked away, but they removed the mantel and offered to build the proper thickness of brick above the fireplace, if I paid for the granite. I readily agreed. A week later they were back and built the proper brick array above the original firebox and the following week, after the brick mortar was cured, they returned to e-install the mantel and re-install the granite header and complete the installation of the wood stove insert. They didn't charge me anything extra for their extra efforts. These guys are definitely Home Stars. They are very competent and very friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants the best service for installation of any stove, wood or gas.

Gas Insert Fireplace

I am very impressed with the level of service I received from Marsh's. Everything from scheduling of the appointment for the estimate to the final details after installation was above an beyond my expectations. The installers were highly experienced professionals who took great care to work through some complications, including a blocked flue during the install. They returned a second day to repair masonry that was disrupted. Alan came on a Sunday morning to help us relight the pilot light in our water heater. The Valor Portrait series unit is perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend. If you are looking for a fireplace, I would consider Marsh's first.

Gas Stove Home Inspection

I was extremely pleased with the service I received for my home inspection of my gas stove. John Slaven was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He determined the stove was not installed properly or safely and could not be repaired. This advice more than likely saved me from a very bad situation.

Thank you!!

Multiple fireplace & BBQ purchase & installs

I have had Marsh's provide sales, installations & services for two indoor fireplaces, one outdoor fireplace, and two natural gas BBQ's. The sales process was totally painless, & their pricing is more than fair. When you factor in the installation & post-installation follow-ups, their prices cannot be matched. They were bang on on the timeline expectations, and unmatched in their open communication on what to expect and when to expect it. They do everything they can to make sure that everything in every way is fully meeting your (the customers) expectations and satisfaction. I could not recommend Marsh's more. If you have any fireplace or BBQ requirements, Marsh's are unparalleled. You cannot go wrong.

Install New Fireplace & Relocate existiing

No wonder this company has 10*s. They deserve it!
I used them several years ago for the purchase and install of a free standing gas fireplace and the service was exemplary.
Therefore I went back to them again as we recently downsized and felt the fireplace in the living room was really not appropriate for the room and wanted it replaced.
I was surprised that as soon as I entered the store, Alan Baroey , the owner, greeted me warmly using my name. I am a retired "picky" Architect, and therefore was aware that what I was proposing was not just a simple purchase and install.
We were unable to find the appropriate fireplace to do what I wanted even after an exhaustive internet search by both of us. Nevertheless we came up with a solution that would satisfy my needs, however the install would need some custom work. We also decided to relocate the existing fireplace to the master bedroom, rather than just abandon it.
On the day of the install he sent two crews, one for each task and the six technicians were most courteous, did an excellent job, an ensured everything was shipshape even though the install was more complicated as a custom vent cover needed to be produced and installed. Alan even went as far as having a special reflective porcelain liner removed from his own fireplace recently installed at his home, taken out and installed in my fireplace as the supplier was out of stock.
Now that is service! You won't go wrong using Marsh's.

Fireplace

Great service from Alan and his staff. Our first appointment was booked for a late time on New Years Eve 2013. Alan believes the customer comes first. Installation was done in due course. Any questioned I had afterwards was handled very professionally by staff and all. I'm enjoying the Valor fireplace over these cold winter days.
