Interlocking

I wish I had read the reviews below before signing my contract. I signed my contract with Jessie who is a salesperson with the company and assured me the job will be completed in the first week of July. He took my deposit and I had not heard from him for weeks before I continued to pressure him to get my driveway started. The workers came by, removed my driveway and have not come back since to install my new interlocking. My driveway has been in a mess for the last month! I have been continuously contacting Jessie and the office number found on my contract but have not heard back from them! What kind of service this is I do not know, especially considering the fact that I was told my driveway would be completed in a few days! They were so quick in taking my deposit, and when it comes down to finishing the work, they do not live up to their supposed expectations. I do not know how they have been in business for so long- terrible service and very unethical! As for your supposed warranty, I doubt you answer customer’s calls when something needs to be done considering the fact you can’t even finish a job that you start!

Wish I would have read the reviews. I was promised this job would be done by the end of July because I have a party. When I called the office to find out my date, the secretary laughed at me and said "Dave always says that and it's not true" Very frustrated. Never calls me back, only when I leave a phoney message that I want to do a job. What happens when it comes to warranty I want my deposit back. I can get someone in a week.

I want to apologize for the lack of communication on our part. But I'm certain you are mistaken when you say the secretary laughed at you. She's very professional and would never do such a thing. she's been working for the company for many years

. I have no problem refunding your deposit for the job

Please email me your information address along with postal code and who you would like to check made payable to.

My email address is: gregg@loctiteinterlocking.ca

Again I am sorry that things did not work out.

Backyard interlocking

We paid our deposit on May 8th, and like everyone else who has posted we were advised upon signing 3-4 weeks to completion and had it written on the contract. We told Foti that we would take the deck out ourselves and to give us a start date to allow us time to do this. We were told to have the deck removed by the end of May and they would begin at the end of the month. On May 26 we advised Foti that the deck was gone, and asked for their start date. He advised they would be coming "soon", but didn't have the exact date.Since that time we have been given so many bs excuses, and when we advised that we wanted our deposit back magically the crew came to dig out the following week (3 weeks ago). Since that time we have been living in a pit, with a completely unusable backyard. We have had to cancel important celebrations (which is why we wanted to have the backyard done in the first place), and my 84 year old double amputee mother has been unable to enjoy her summer at our home as we have no deck or backyard for her now. Gregg please DO NOT CUT AND PASTE a response to this comment as it will just be adding more insult to injury. We would like YOU to call us please at the number listed on the contract asap to discuss refund of deposit.

Hi Megan

As you know I had a telephone conversation with your husband on July 26. Explain the situation regarding the availability of the interlocking brick that you chose for your house. Your husband is supposed to contact me on my cell phone Friday, August 1 to confirm if we are able to get the interlocking at that time if not we are going to choose other options for the interlocking brick for your house.

People take the time to write a terrible review but they never take the time to update the review once the problem is resolved.

Hopefully tomorrow we can resolve
the brick issue and get your job completed and timely manner.

Gregg.

Hi Adel

First of all I want to say that if anybody Has disrespected you. Or raised their voice at you. I would like to know their names. You say that me the owner was rude to you. I'm not even sure if I have ever met you. And I'm sure if I did I was not rude to you I don't make a habit of being rude to my customers. Also if there is a damage to your property should be brought to our attention so we can rectify the situation. I assure you we dig plenty deep enough for foundation. And we do not use the weed barrier because many times it traps the water and the water freezes and the interlocking heaves. The foundation work on your job is not even completed yet there's limestone screenings that go on top of the gravel you are judging a job before his completed.

If you have issues regarding the uncompleted work I believe you should probably call the company before posting a r malicious review. These issues could be rectified quite easily.

Please email me so we can set up a time to meet and go over these issues. My email address is:

Driveway interlock

Projects run long, make sure you are clear as to what you are getting on your contract. Patience is needed. Hard workers. Happy with the end results.

They said 3 weeks to start. We signed out contract on June 13, 2014. At week 7, they finally came to dig out the lawn where the interlock is being installed. They put down the crushed limestone and left. A week later the stones were delivered. The Wrong Stones. We notified them immediately that the two skids sitting on our front lawn, After we finally get a hold of our rep, they came the next day and replaced one of the two skids.

At week 11, they finally started the installation of the stones. There were disagreements over what was on the contract, verses what the installer was interpreting. In the end, we got what we asked for, and we were not charged more than the original quote.

We are happy with the results. It held up well over the winter, and looks to be holding up better than other driveways on the street.

With patience and no timeline, I would recommend this company for having good prices and good workmanship.

Hi my name is Gregg Nugent. And I am the owner of loc-tite Interlocking. I want to start by saying I'm very sorry for not being able get your project any sooner. We are working 18 hours a day six days a week to try to get caught up. We got a late start in the spring which put us behind schedule. We've also had a lot of problems with labor this year. People don't seem to want to work. It's also been very challenging getting material . it's not only our company many companies are very far behind schedule. Our payment schedule is as follows we take a 10% deposit upon signing we take an additional 40% upon excavation and the balance is due upon completion. What we have been doing is instead of taking the 40% upon excavation we are just taking the 90% upon completion of the job to make people feel more at ease. So they don't worry about us taking off with their money. I have been in business for 25 years I've never taken anybody's money without completing their job. Please be patient with us we are working diligently to get your job done. Could you please let me know the address of your job so I can give you an update. If your job has already been completed or started please update the review.

Thank u for your patients

Interlock Driveway Extension

I signed with Dave in May, paid my deposit, and given the reviews here, I made sure that he put "Installed within 30 days" on the contract. The work wasn't installed within 30 days, but I was sent a text message indicating they were two weeks behind. I appreciated the notice. Getting in touch with Dave was difficult and I did often get obscure answers when I asked about start dates, however, I did manage to get in touch with Lily, who I assume was the office manager. She was nice, and as soon as I reached out to her about my concerns a crew was there to dig up the area and lay down a base within days. Bricks were delivered about a week and a half after they dug, and the job should be done today (less than 2 months after signing). I must say that I was impressed with the work when I saw it. The crew seems to know what they are doing. I will post pictures of the finished product. My advice is this: They gave a very competitive price, but maybe they have taken on too many jobs at once. Get in touch with the right people to get your job done in a timely fashion. My job was finished and the young guys who did the laying of the bricks did a good job. There are a few flaws but overall I am happy with the final product. Communication with clients is important!

back yard

I was promised that my backyard would be done in 3 weeks time instead the work was only completed three months later. We called several times to find out when their workers would arrive and were constantly given false Start dates. I would not recconend this company to anyone that planned to enjoy their backyard in that same year. Their sales man knows how to close a deal if only there were able to keep up with what they promised. This company took on too much than they could chew. When they finally got to my backyard they did a decent job.

Patio

We were so looking forward to spending a lot of time this summer enjoying our new patio-that's why we signed a contract with this company in May and it's now July we were promised it would be done in about 4 weeks. We were not contacted to let us know why they didn't show up and we cannot get hold of anyone except a person answering the phone. We are SO DISAPPOINTED with this company, their lack of response and interest we recommended them to our friends and they also have not heard back. Had I read these reviews before I would NEVER have signed up wit this company. Our story seems to be repeated throughout this site. We will be taking this further!

Interlocking

Signed a contract with Loc-tite on June 6th with the promise that work would begin within 30 days. It has now been over 5 & 1/2 weeks and the job has yet to begin. We spoke with David on one occasion and he said they were running 3 weeks behind (miraculously now that they have our deposit). We have left several messages since then which have not been returned. Very frustrated and wishing we had gone with another company at this point.

UPDATE - July 31/14: Job still has not been started and our phone calls are still being ignored. Our address is 33 Vireo Way, Woodbridge. Greg - as your response seems to be generic to everyone complaining, I am not hopeful that you will update me on the job.
UPDATE: Aug 5/14 - I still have not been contacted by Gregg with an update on the job. At this point I want my deposit back.

Interlocking

We signed a contract in early May and the digging and installation of the bricks was to be done in 3 weeks which was at the end of May. We did not hear from them so I decided to call a week before the so called expected date of installation, and was informed that due to various reasons they were delayed 3 weeks which we were NOT informed about. This was very upsetting. After some conversation David mentioned they would be in July 3. They came and dug and poured gravel. It is now July 14 and we have not heard from them about the next step (laying bricks) which we expected to be done the following day. Called David today and found out we have to wait for "the ground to settle", its 2 weeks and we are still waiting, don't understand why it takes this long! our neighbours are almost done they interlocking and they started 2 days ago with a different company. Why are we waiting over a month. I cannot enjoy my summer because of this, my house doesn't look good with all this gravel around it! I'm very upset!
