duvet covers

Duvet cover I bought is gorgeous, but most disappointingly, IKEA sizes do not match sizes of duvets not purchased at their stores. I phoned before purchasing to make sure and was told yes they are "standard North Am. sizes". In reality, they are approx 4-6 inches too short. Most king size duvet covers are at least 104" x 92" or 94", while IKEA's are 102" x 86". Most disappointing!

Portis Rack

I ordered the rack and had it delivered at my house. The pieces were defective and the package looked as if it had been opened before. Customer service couldn't help me and told me to go to a store. I now have to go to the nearest store and return it there. I couldn't have it exchanged at my house!! very disappointing and waste of time. I will buy another rack somewhere else...

Never ever gonna buy another thing from IKEA

They have the worst refund policy ever. Customer service is rude and unhelpful. Their drawers are made of cheap material, so thin that wouldn't hold anything for long. I got a frying pan and it rusted after "one" use. Then they blamed me for storing it wet but I swear it was not how I stored it. Seriously I'm never ever buy anything from them again.

Kitchen

Bought Ikea because we like the idea of modeling our own space. Lots of choices and good hardware. Now that I'm done I have to say I would never use Ikea again because they use ultra cheap chipboard that crumbles apart with any minor adjustment. So frustrating when you need to move a cabinet a ¼ inch and the cabinet is destroyed. I bought a pantry unit that needed a slight lift and it crumbled where I lifted before putting any real pressure. I'm disgusted with it and will never see the inside of that store again.

New Kitchen

We completely redid our kitchen. I never would have believed I would have an Ikea kitchen, but the materials are first class. Also, when we needed to replace and return parts, it was effortless

Furniture

Most of my furniture, i bought in Ikea. I like Ikea because it is cheap, and not too difficult to assemble.

I bought a bed in Ikea 7 years ago, and it is still with me up to this day and I am 19. It didn't break on me yet,and it is pretty sturdy. It was also easy to assemble for my dad which he liked. I also have a white table, and it has been with me for awhile as well. It is pretty sturdy, and I am surprised it hasn't died on me yet. My bookshelves are also still intact. Ikea is a good store that offers a wide selection of different furniture which I like. The price is decent and affordable. All-in-all, I like Ikea's products.
The customer service is good too. They have a lot of staff members that can help you no problem. When I ask for help, they would help me right away. I like good service, and Ikea provides it well for me. I have no problems with the store, I am pleased with my experiences shopping in Ikea.

Bed and Sofa

I went Ikea on weekend, lot of people. Their Sofa selection is not what I expected. The style doesn't fit into my living room. I bought a Mattress and bed frame. Looks decent and price is fair.

Bookshelf, lamp and POÄNG series chair

I went to the Re-Opening weekend at Ikea Richmond and grabbed a few great deals. The bookshelf I bought was very easy to assemble and was very sturdy. All the required parts to put the shelf together was present and the picture instructions were very easy to understand. I bought a small bedside lamp that came with a light bulb. It was simple but was bright enough to light up my room. The Poang chair was on sale during the re-opening week for half the price. However, when I tried to assemble the chair, I found that some screws were missing (I assume it was a return item) . In addition, building the chair was more complex than building the bookshelf so I decided to return the chair. I wouldn't recommend my mother building her own furniture from IKEA, but I would recommend some simple small furnitures for her.

Livingroom Redecorate

Price of the chairs I bought were a little bit pricey, but for the holidays coming up, they'll have to do.

Not too thrilled about the customer service, but I guess the upcoming holiday season is driving everyone a little nuts.

Overall, they have a lot of furniture and accessories that are carefully designed, and pretty good pricing.
