Ikea - North York

A little over a year ago I went to Ikea looking for a new armoire or dresser, I found one that fit perfectly with my room and decided to buy it. I got to the cash and asked to have it delivered and almost fell over when they told me how much it would cost. Then they told me that I could have up a certain number of items delivered for one price, no matter how big or small the item. I had done some other shopping for my appartment and for my mom's apartment. So instead of lugging all the bags home with me on the bus I had them all delivered, I was going to pay the $70 anyways, why not make good use of it?

Purchased a full length sofa in December 2009 for $100. Great value and quality. The sales staff were friendly and made the purchase easy. Delivery was prompt and courtesy. A great experience from beginning to end.

What can I say, Ikea rocks! Their prices are right, their staff are knowledgable, friendly, helpful and the product quality is great! This place knows what business really means and they do an awesome job!

very good quality shelving units constructed of metal and wood . have lasted several years. Can withstand alot of weight and moving about if necessary. Very attractive to add to any decor.

The combinations of furniture available to mix and match at Ikea is great and resonably priced. The only thing I find difficult is walking through the huge space. However the staff is helpful and if you already have an idea of what you are looking for, it is easier to find the product. Things like wardrobes/closets can be extended, built upon etc.

We purchased cabinets from Ikea for a kitchen renovation. The sales associate was very helpful with the initial selection and purchase. As a result of some measuring issues, we wound up having to return and reorder cabinets. This was no problem, the cabinets, including those partially assembled were accepted back by Ikea for full credit. I would highly recommend Ikea for anyone considering a kitchen renovation

The staff at Ikea were most helpful with our Kitchen reno. They presented some great ideas and were attentative. Overall, the price was fair and quality is great. Ikea is not your traditional box store! :-)

My wife and I are redoing a 40 year old home. For ideas that are current and provide a wide choice we have found Ikea offers real value for the money spent.

I am sure some of the products at Ikea are wonderful. However,
recently we purchased one of their stand alone closets and had dreadful luck. We assembled as per instructions and found that quite time consuming however, we wanted to do it write so we followed each letter of the instructions. With one month where the hinges are joined to the door seperated. The door was opened too widely and forced the hinge to break the chunk right out of the door. Now I am not talking brutal force. This was just opened too widely and to my surprise the door broke away from the hinge leaving the closet not repairable.

We did not have a plan and we came in the store to get ideas. They assigned us an assistant and we talk to her. When she was not available another person helped us. Always there is somebody to guide you. With their ideas and the plan they made for us we happily finished the proyect. Thank you
