home renovation

I like the self checkout service that Home Depot provides, quick and very user friendly. Their exchange and refund system is also very convenient. They just need to scan the receipt and the item and it's done whereas other stores you have to wait for the representative to scan different things and enter different codes into the system and then ask for your signature which are very tedious! One more thing, Home Depot provides the best prices most of the time.

bathroom reno

We went to Home Depot to buy the tiles to renovate our bathroom. We had a great deal of difficulty in finding someone to help us and ended up getting help from a fellow who I think worked there but wasn't actually working at the time. He was great! They should get more guys like him!

We are first time home owners and have never done any kind of renos. The paint department at Home Depot was great in providing information from how to prep the walls and choosing colours. They also high lighted some environmentally friendly options.

Lighting

I went to home depot looking for some track lighting for my home and was expecting to spend a lot of money based on other stores I had been to. To my surprise, Home Depot's price was the most affordable and their service people were very helpful along the way.

foyer ceiling

We suffered a large stain on our foyer ceiling from an upstairs leaky bathtub facet. To avoid having to paint the entire ceiling from the foyer leading to the hallway and into the kitchen and dining room, we decided to buy six sheets of fake tin to put up on the foyer ceiling and framed it with a double width of six inch baseboard. The staff at Home Depot were very helpful with information about the fake tin look and also with opinions as to which type to buy and didn't mind our laying out of the potential ceiling on the floor of their store. It has turned out very well and we highly recommend this quick fix if anyone else should have a ceiling stain in their foyer. It's now a very well defined space.

Remodel master bath

I went with them because they offered no hassle, better than quality workmanship and timely, friendly service. They were not on time. Their workmanship was definitely not above average. They took shortcuts to save themselves cost. They kept adding costs to their original quote. They did not give us a written contract. They took no proper measurements resulting in errors and re-work that in the end cost us more money.

Products- vapour barrier

Everytime I go to Home Depot you can't find anyone to help you and when you do, they don't know their products. We asked 3 people before someone knew what it was. People who work there should know their products.

Fiberglass

My service at Home Depot was adequate. I will probably go back because of the proximity to my home.
