Toronto Concrete Repairs

After reading some of the reviews on Homestars for concrete repair and finishing/coatings, I contacted Goldwell Restoration. Kris not only responded promptly before the end of the day, he also suggested I stop in the showroom to see the options available. He was professional and knowledgable. After discussing options over the next two days, we went with Goldwell; best choice we made. The work was scheduled promptly and both Hubert and Kris communicated regularly. The crew showed up the first day and were professional, polite and helpful. While my husband and I had emptied the majority of the items from the basement, there were a few large items my husband needed a hand with (air hockey table, large metal cabinet, fridge, chest freezer). The crew jumped in and helped get it all upstairs. They laid down drop cloths and picked up all garbage and scraps when they left. The first day they worked until nearly 9pm on preparing the floors; we were impressed at how hard they worked.
When they were starting or finishing for the day, Kris or Hubert would either text or phone to provide a status update on the work as well as arrival times or anticipated start times the following day.
The last (third) day, Hubert had originally advised the crew was going to start around noon. Around 1210pm, he texted to apologize and advise that the crew were enroute and would be arriving in about an hour. I have a crazy schedule and a million things going on. Despite knowing that I was home for the day working in the house, taking the time to update me was huge.
The floors look fantastic and I truly wish we didn't wait until we were getting ready to sell to do them. I would not hesitate to recommend Goldwell to anyone. I would utilize their services again in a heartbeat.

We hired Goldwell Restoration to do front porch, concrete steps, cold room and garage floor restorations. They were on the site everyday, until fully completed. All employees were professional and did their jobs with the greatest care. Kris supervised and followed up on a daily basis. Kris was very professional from the quoting stage to the completion of the job. His team came in to remove the old concrete and replace with new conrete for my pool deck. The team worked hard and did a great job. All work was done in a timely manner. I would use Kris again or recommend him to my friends.

I was getting quotes for $5000 to remove the cabinets, counter, and tiles in my kitchen. I was nervous about an epoxy floor but my budget wouldn't allow for anything else. I am ecstatic about the results. I get compliments from everyone that sees my new floor. It is gorgeous!! Thank you so much!!

Chris and his team were very professional, patient, listened and addressed my concerns (very important) and were thoroughly knowledgeable about their service and products. They performed a fantastic job, immaculate. Can't say enough!

Goldwell Ltd. did a very good job on the garage floor. It was cracked and uneven. They leveled it, repaired cracks and applied epoxy and it looks great now. They also waterproofed the walls where they meet the floor from inside and outside. The team was professional and courteous and we wouldn't hesitate to use them again

Pro:
-the price was fair
-the owner was helpful and friendly

Cons:
-They were late twice. The second time, it costs me $400 to get an hotel room because the floor wasn't dry because the were 6 hours late
-The job is average (they didn't put enough product on the edge, so I can see the old paint at the edge of the cabinets) Also the first layer didn't dry properly so I can see a weird paint job. Lastly, this is a a two layers project and I just discovered a spot were there is only one coat.

Unfortunately, due to poorly completed concrete work performed by a general contractor on my walkway and steps, I had to seek another contractor to correct this problem. Fortunately, I was able to connect with Kris from Gold Well Restoration. After a short meeting with the owner at his store then at my house, I could see that he showed empathy in wanting to show us other options to correct the previous work that was done. When the workmen began I could see the difference in how the work was being completed by Gold Well employees vs the ones I had before. The Gold Well employees were courteous, professional and considerate of my neighbours and my property. In the end, the work was more than what we had expected. Thank you Kris and your staff for correcting a serious problem for us. Michael D
