An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.
I contacted three different movers (all with great reviews on Homestars) to give us estimates for our cross-town move. Much to my surprise, Europas estimate was about 30% lower than one estimate and about 20% lower than another. (Their final bill was a little higher than the estimate but still $350 lower than the next-lowest estimate.)
Start to finish, from scheduling the estimate through the final post-move paperwork, they were exceedingly professional, courteous, and punctual. Their back-office operation is first rate. They remain in regular contact and are very vigilant that everything is on time and on track. (I've moved a lot and I've never seen this much follow-up and follow-through by any moving company.)
The packers and movers were all really great people. They worked fast but carefully. They listened to us on instructions, and they were very well organized and coordinated. It was bitter cold outside, but that didn't stop them.
As noted, the final bill was a few hundred bucks higher than the estimate, but still extremely competitive and worthwhile. Probably the best single moving experience I've had, and I've been through a LOT of moves.
