Emerald Moving

I highly recommend Emeral Moving: the owner came to our home 2 weeks before the move not only to deliver the boxes and gave us a demo on how to pack dishes, properly wrap vases and putting together the boxes. He was here for an hour and gave us so many tips. And on moving day, he brougt along tons of blankets to wrap our tables, library and all pieces of furniture and securely taped them. A real pro, he and his assistant were quick and on time. Very professional and curteous. I would use them again for any move.

My husband and I found Emerald moving on homestars - and I had a good feeling after reading all of the positive reviews. Sure enough Dave and his team exceeded our expectations. We have an 11 month old and also decided to use their packing service - do this if you can, it's totally worth it!! The guys had the place packed up in no time, AMAZING!! The morning of the move we had some trouble with our building, (getting the elevators on time etc.), the guys were professional and just worked to make it happen. They are the best! Moving can be stressful but Emerald makes moving so much easier:) My recommendation, Emerald should be your first choice!

We had moved several times and were never truly happy with the movers we used in the past. This time I was determined to find a company that was reliable, careful and that really listened to what we wanted. I did my research and chose to go with Emerald Moving. They did not disappoint. From the initial booking, the pre-move walk-around, to the actual move - you could tell that customer service is their priority. They are a small company and don't treat you as just another "move" - they really care about you and your belongings. There were a few hiccups along the way that were solved with great professionalism. At no time was the owner willing to sacrifice the safety and condition of our belongings or his crew. I would highly recommend them to others looking for an honest and responsible moving company!

I have moved three times with David now and enjoyed every one of them!healso delivered things to storage a few times and also retrieved things from storage on separate occasions too! He and his team are the greatest....as Ida Wendy his partner....they also packed for me too. I highly recommend them!

Overall we were delighted with our experience with Emerald. They were on time, professional, quick and courteous.

We loved the fact that they gave a set quote (rather than by the hour) so you knew exactly what you were going to pay. You hear stories of how 'by the hour' compaines slack off and make it last longer than necessary just to charge you more. These guys were finished by 3pm and those extra few hours were precious to us. Also they wouldn't even have taken lunch if we hadn't forced them to!!!

As i say we were delighted at how stress free the experience was and would definitely use them again and recommend them to all our friends.

I've used Emerald for my past two moves, and have already recommended them to others. I've heard nightmare stories from friends about other movers, but Emerald couldn't make the process any easier. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and made sure that I was satisfied. They even searched for a tiny piece that fell from one of my speaker stands in the midst of the move -- and found it! If you're looking for an easy move with minimal stress, I couldn't recommend Emerald more highly.

I've used Emerald moving for my last two moves and they are awesome. The flat rate is great - no worrying about hitting a traffic mess or other such "road blocks" which might extend one's move day. Wendy, Dave & Mike were all awesome - from booking confirmation to move day where all went so smoothly.

Moving is probably one of life's more stressful chores, and even more so when it is not planned or expected. My family and I were caught in the middle of a nasty domestic situation involving our previous landlord and his spouse resulting in the foreclosure of the property that we were renting. We had barely 3 weeks to find new dwellings, pack and find a moving company by December 1st.

I had called a number of companies but only Wendy at Emerald offered a truly sympathetic ear to our situation and told me not to worry. Their crew will take care of everything.

Such a simple thing. But a very humane thing.

The crew was at our old address at 0900 sharp! They were ready even before the super placed the elevator on service. Dave, Mike and B.K. were a well-disciplined team and handled everything with precision, but more importantly, with care. None of our furniture could be considered expensive yet the guys treated everything as if it were Buckingham Palace priceless antiques. Dave wrapped and secured every piece of furniture with moving blankets and even finessed a particularly tricky wardrobe out of my daughter's bedroom. There were also two all-glass Ikea display cases that didn't even cause him to blink an eye.

At the new location they were equally careful to put everything in the proper rooms, or made suggestions how to better utilize the smaller space we are now calling "home".

The move took about six hours from start to finish and the itemized flat rate Wendy quoted me turned out to be a better deal than the per hour rates offered by their competitors. It was not inexpensive but I felt that it was worth every penny.

Should we require moving services again I will call Emerald Moving once more.

Excellent job from start to finish. They gave me a quote, didn't charge me a penny more. Arrived on time, did a great job, didn't break anything, nothing got "lost". You hear horror stories all the time about movers holding your belongings "hostage" until you pay them more. Not the case with Emerald Moving. Very professional and trustworthy! Would use them again in a heartbeat! Although it wasn't a cheap service, it was worth spending the money for quality service.

We were moving mid August for the first time in 11 years, I contacted a number of moving companies while doing my research, and I only picked the top ones from homestars.ca. Emerald distinguished themselves from the very beginning. Wendy gave me all the information I needed to have to make a decision, explained the process and details involved, Emerald also offers packing supplies based on size of the house, very helpful since I had no idea what we may need, they also offer packing service should you run out of time or steam. Dave came by to drop off the boxes and inspected the house contents, gave me a lot of good tips and also mentioned that we would need a second truck to carry all our stuff. My husband was suspicious but on the moving day Dave was right, one truck wouldn't have been enough, he knows moving business so well he was able to estimate with high degree of precision the additional service required. Wendy kept in touch with me before the move. On the Friday before the Tuesday move she called to confirm everything was as planned. On the moving day the service was outstanding, even my husband who has very high service standards was extremely impressed. The truck was brand new and super clean!!! Furniture was properly wrapped, not a single scratch, nothing was broken, they put everything as directed by us, cleaned up any moving mess and gave us credit for unused boxes. I would never consider any other moving company and they weren't even the most expensive ones. You can't go wrong with them.
