I have used Dereks tree service for many years
and recently had them come out to scale back a monstrous Linden tree in my backyard. There are many tree services around, but there is no need to try out another. From their first visit here (well over a decade ago ) to the most recent, the quality of work
, fair pricing, exceptional customer service and all around reliability has never changed. In this day and age, its not always easy to find all of those qualities in one business. Mike came out
to give me an estimate shortly after I contacted Dereks. He
is a very personable guy : super easy to talk to and very tree knowledgeable. We discussed options for slimming down the tree.
Cutting it in half may kill it , so I chose to thin it out sideways. On the day of the job, he and Austin arrived on time and launched right in. I was pretty much in awe of how agile Austin was on that ladder . He made perfectly clean cuts right at the joint and seemed to suss out overall tree balance ( for aesthetics)
as he went along.
I can see Derek has taught his son well !
There were an awful lot of branches etc to cart off when done, but that too was dealt with quickly and neatly. Thank you Dereks tree service - I cant wait to see light again in the backyard. Good luck in the rest of your season .

I contacted Derek's Tree Service due to the high customer ratings in HomeStars and the result didn't disappointed me. Derek and his large crew came on time and did an excellent job in removing three large old fruit trees in my backyard. They even cut some firewood from tree branches for me. They cleaned the site perfectly before leaving. The price was also very competitive. I highly recommend Derek's team for tree removal services.

Derek and team are above and beyond, more than 5 stars! The is the second time Ive contracted out to them and their professionalism, advice and service is outstanding. Derek's tree service responded promptly to my request and were able to do the job fairly soon thereafter. The primary job of pruning a medium-large honey locust tree was done skillfully. They also pruned two small trees and ground down an old stump.
I am pleased with the end result. I was less satisfied with some of the communications, the care walking about my gardens and the cleanup. Overall they did a good job.

Derek is a very reasonable and reliable person. We used his company for 3 times over 10 years. We are fully satisfied with His team who is punctual, professional, neat and efficient. We recommend to all our friends to use his company. Believe his passionate service will continue to flourish and grow and provide help to those who look for excellent tree cutting service.

Fabulous experience! From the first phone call (answered by a real person), to the in person appointment to assess the job, to booking an appointment and seeing the completed work - all went quickly, seamlessly, and exactly as promised. Derek does what he says he is going to do, when he says he will do it. Exceptional customer service in a time when we don't always see a lot of it. The technician James arrived on time, performed the removal (including stump) quickly and efficiently, and removed debris. He even re-attached my clothesline, for which I am immensely grateful! I have already alerted them to another job for next spring. Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thanks guys!
