I can’t say enough about Gus at City Plumbing. He came to our house on a Sunday, the day after we called, and was determined to find the cause of our clogged drain. Not only did he fix our issue, the cost was fair and he was happy to patiently answer all
of our questions. I would highly recommend Gus at City Plumbing!

Gus came in a timely manner and completed the job within an hour as he had necessary parts on hand . I had sent pics of the problem when I requested service, so he was prepared.

Added to my Jan 10th review: Huge fan of City Plumbing since 20o3. I own an old East York home. Gus's company has fixed drains, floods, installed kitchen and bathroom fixtures and recommended good contractors for other projects.
Gus is ALWAYS on time, honest and has fair prices. He does a great job every time. I've recommended City Plumbing to my friends and they agree -- the company is a keeper and so is Gus!

I have used Gus 3 times now for toilet and faucet issues, and have recommended him to a friend. Most recently our kitchen faucet broke. I called Gus on a Saturday afternoon to tell him the problem, and that I had purchased a new faucet. He said he would arrive in 30 minutes to do the installation, and he was here in that time. He encountered problems with the layout and with old plumbing, but he found workarounds and got the job done in a very timely fashion.

Needed to have a drain unblocked.
Called Gus and he arrived a while later.
He diagnosed problem and snaked drain to unblock it. There was a clump of roots. Said we needed a new toilet also which was undeniable. A day or two later, he provided the quote for upcoming work(and toilet) He also sent a pic of a toilet that he thought might work.
A few days later - he returned and removed
toilet. Snaked it again and found another clump of Did camera also. Then he installed
new dual flush toilet-beautiful.
He totally removed the toilet from the property instead of just leaving it at bottom of steps outside.
Efficient and reliable. And he talked to you when explaining things-not at you.

I have relied on Gus for plumbing problems in the past and once again this week for a toilet continuously running. Gus responded immediately, outlined what needed to be replaced, quickly got the new part and installed it very efficiently. In other words, outstanding service! I have in the past recommended Gus/City Plumbing to friends and neighbours - all of whom have had similar excellent experiences.

Gus at City Plumbing is amazing and cares about his work and his clients. We needed our toilet replaced and it turned out we had to have our floor replaced, which was crumbling underneath a very old toilet. Gus connected us with an excellent contractor to retile the floor, and he went out of his way to ensure the job done was done quickly and within our budget. We were able to buy some of the materials ourselves to save money. Gus' rates were very reasonable (above includes the cost of the toilet plus his rate, but not the tile work) We will never forget how much he went above and beyond and we are extremely thankful he was there for us. We will definitely go to him for all our future plumbing needs!

Gus has been our plumber for over 25 yrs. In an emergency, he comes immiately. When it isn't an emergency, he arrives same day or next morning. His rates are very reasonable and he guarantees his work. Recently, he unplugged a backed up pipe and noticed a plumbing flaw that was done before we owned our house. He fixed that problem and did not charge us for that. Honest, trustworthy, reliable, and an experienced, expert plumber. When you need a plumber, he is the man you want to arrive on your doorstep. We highly recommend Gus at City Plumbing. He is the best.

Toilet got clogged. I called Gus and he promised he would be here ASAP. He came to unclog it late one evening. He got it working but toilet was old, very old, and I requested them to come and install a new one. Fast, professional, came prepared for eventualities. Gus and Alex came on a Holiday to come fix my toilet. Who works on a holiday you ask? someone who is in demand.

Gus was recommended by a friend and we are so glad to have found him. He resolved an urgent plumbing issue, our toilet was clogged and drain ended up being blocked far from the toilet.. he came to the rescue, was able to assess and troubleshoot everything, explain the process in detail and got the job done so fast. The basement was also flooded so he recommended what we could do to resolve the matter. We will not hesitate to give Gus a call anytime we have any problems or when we are ready to renovate our bathroom. Would highly recommend him - What a lovely and helpful man!
