Great guys! I called Craig at 11am for a quote, he arrived 30 minutes later and the tree was down, taken away and yard cleaned by 2pm!
Very nice to family pets and young kids who were so amazed by his tree climbing ability!

I am a repeat customer who was very pleased the first time around and even happier when I used him this time. This time around I used Craig to remove 2 trees, grind 3 tree stumps and prune 2 large trees. The work he did was clean and very well done and price is always more than reasonable. He even took the time on more than one occasion to discuss and give some advice on potential tress to replace that I had asked him about. It did take a while for us to connect because he got very busy removing trees for people who had emergencies and other appointments but as soon as I told him that we needed it right away he made sure to put me the next day.

So I will likely use him again soon to plant new trees for me. He offered to go to the nursery and pick up and install which is comforting knowing that he will be taking care of the entire job.

Craig is very personable and great to deal with in a world where not all contractors are. I plan to use him whenever I need in the future and it would be great if all contractors had the same integrity.

We had recently purchased a new house so I called Craig from CB trees to get a quote for removal of a tree at the front of the house that was blocking the front window and basically the entire front of the house. Craig was very quick to come and give me a quote and came back in a week and they removed the trees and the stumps completely and trimmed some other trees for me. I was very happy with their service as they were quick and efficient an cleaned up after they were done. I can now enjoy the street view from my front window. Thanks Craig

We had an ice storm on Thursday March 24 which broke a large branch off my tree at the front of my house, the branch landed on my roof and hung there. The next day was Good Friday/Easter weekend so I was unable to call until the Monday. Craig was very accommodating and said that he and his crew could come that very day to take the limb down. I had to leave and by the time I got back, all the work was done, everything cleaned and no damage done during removal. I was very impressed with the service, efficiency and accommodation given to me. Thanks very much, Craig. I will definitely recommend this service.

There was a micro-burst storm yesterday and I was the unfortunate recipient of a massively damaged tree. Not just any tree, one of my treasured 100 year old cedars in the backyard. I wanted it cleaned up but more importantly, I wanted to work with someone who would help me to salvage it if I could. My neighbour recommended Craig and his team as he had worked with them in the past. I also checked them out on HomeStars - great reviews (and here comes another one).
I called Craig this morning and left a message. He called back quickly and was at my house by 10:30. We agreed on a game plan - he was going to be able to save my cedar, do some shaping and put it on a good path to recovery - what a relief. He made a commitment to me to return this afternoon with his crew. Even though their truck broke down, he had it quickly repaired and kept his promise to me.
The clean up took about 3 hours and in that time they cleared the debris, chipped the scraps, chopped some pieces into firewood, stacked the firewood and saved the larger pieces for me so I can have something beautiful made for my home. Additionally, the fallen limb was resting on the phone wires (of course). The team worked delicately around them and were able to NOT disconnect my service - no small feat. Except for a slightly wounded deck and some obvious marks on the cedar, you would never know what had happened just the day before.
I will be calling CB Trees for all my tree needs. Why? Because they're AWESOME - professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, diligent and fairly priced.

We recently asked Craig to remove a number of grape vines that were growing rampantly in our backyard (they had started growing around power lines). Craig removed all of the vines and did a great job cleaning up. He stuck to his quote, even though it took him longer than anticipated. We intend to continue using Craig for our tree-related needs.

I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They care about the trees they're pruning and that means lot to me. My 75 year old apple tree in my backyard on Olive is sacred and they did a great job. These professionals "know" about the biology of trees, a free extra benefit. They're my go-to company now.

There are a few good reasons why Craig Talenko and the crew at CB Tree are so busy – excellent work ethic and results, and good pricing. Craig and his team just completed an impressive job of pruning 3 large maple trees in my back yard. The largest, a silver maple, grows disturbingly close to the house and looms over both our own roof and our neighbour’s. The limbs of this tree were left badly bowed by the ice storm in Dec 2013. On windy days, these limbs would contact both roofs, leaving debris and knocking against the neighbour’s chimney. The combined canopy of the 3 trees was also affecting the overall health of the lawn and garden. Craig discussed with us what we would like done and made recommendations that would ensure the continued health of these trees while minimizing the threat of large branches breaking off. He is very friendly and easy to talk to. Once we agreed on everything, the crew immediately set to work. It was a marvel to watch how professionally they managed the process of removing the largest of limbs dangling over the roof. Not for the faint of heart to watch, but not a shingle was damaged. They also cut the wood into fire logs, which they stacked neatly for us to use. After the last branch was chipped, the crew meticulously cleaned up the yard and driveway too. Our 3 maples look trim and solid now, with lots of space for the wind to pass through without threat, and the yard feels much bigger now with the enhanced exposure to the sky and sun. I really can’t wait for spring now to see everything come into leaf.

Craig and his team did a great job of dealing with the top half of a fallen spruce tree that was suspended between utility wires and a neighbour's tree. It didn't look like an easy job to me, but Craig was meticulous in his planning and the execution, with various ropes in place, was perfect. No utility wires or other trees were damaged as the spruce came down. Craig is great to deal with. He's very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions about the other trees in the yard and how best to take care of them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CB to anyone who is looking for friendly, professional service at a reasonable price.
