Cartier Kitchens

The whole experience was of a "friendly" mentality and not of a business one, no signed contract, very no problem this is what we will do mentality. Doug the guy we were dealing with was very non professional, we ordered a kitchen through them modern, black style, with 50 percent deposit. on arrival a lot of the cabnet doors were damaged, not sprayed properly, the whole right side of my lower's were not measured properly not installed correctly which left me without a sink and kitchen for almost 2 months. the counter was cut improperly which ment the sink was off center which looked terrible. on arrival they watned another 50 percent even though all of these were incorrect. I refused they threatened to put a lean on my property. I simply was told 50 percent down 50 percent on completion of work it wasn't complete. so there was conversations back and forth with promise of getting people to our house but this is the fourth month and there are still issues , full payment has been given and still without a good looking kitchen. I will NEVER recommend this company

We ordered 3 standard cabinets on rush order, they said 2-3 weeks. 9 weeks later and we still have no cabinets. Their customer service is not at all helpful and even rude when calling to inquire.

A friend referred me to this company for the work I wanted to do in my kitchen. Jamal was involved with the design, which was good and his team very helpful.The work was not done on time and to my satisfaction. it was very stressful. I found myself contacting him repeatedly regarding the completion of the job.

The builder of our new home was using Cartier to install the kitchen cabinets. We wanted to extend the basic cabinetry and upgrade the counter top to quartz. Instead of paying the builder to do it, we had Cartier come after we moved in to install them.

Cartier did a very good job with the install, the job went smoothly. The staff were a pleasure to work with.

I am close to the store, We worked together on a design, Jamal had some good ideas, and I like what was planned. There were several delays for the installation. Not always was I informed that they were not coming. It went almost a month over in the installation.

I am a developer and builder of properties. I have dealt with George and his family several times. They offer leading designs for the modern market. They offer good service when working the project as well as after service.

We hired them to design a new kitchen for us. We entertained using 3 companies but went with this one because Jamal and I hit it off. He offered expertise, good materials and timing that worked for us. Everyone who sees our kitchen wants one just like it, We have used him again for our laundry room and a bathroom. Great installers. Fantastic job.

Their product is totally rubbish comes broken, scratched and dented. Then to top it off trying to deal with them is terrible. We returned the defected items and then they turned around and returned the same said items in worse condition that we gave it to them in plus didn't return all the pieces. It's been 3 months and I'm still waiting on my doors and drawer fronts and missing hardware!!!!

Skull and Crossbones Warning -
I had my kitchen cabinets made by Cartier Kitchens located at 16th and Yonge and dealt with Jamal.
The cabinets are warped, the paint is chipped and I am out $30,000. I had to phone Jamal endlessly to get them to come and finish the job and eventually called the head office, which made no difference whatsoever. They have still not finished the job.
The entire experience from start to finish has been a complete disaster; I sincerely hope this posting will avoid anyone else having to go through this.
Cartier Kitchens operates in an unethical, misleading, rude and arrogant manner; They do not stand by their work and the quality is abysmal.

Warning – this is not a custom cabinet company. They make modular cabinets in widths that are multiples of 3 inches. (eg. 12,18,24, etc.). Their main business is high-volume kitchens for high-volume home and condo builders. If you are looking for quality kitchen cabinets that can be designed for built-in appliances, do NOT use this company. My kitchen included a built-in Bosch cooktop, wall oven, and a Miele speed oven. Despite having provided them with the installation specs, they couldn’t design a cabinet to accommodate them. I had to hire other cabinet makers to finish the work.
The quality of the product from the factory is below average. There were a number of flaws that required replacement parts from the factory in Brampton. If you live outside the GTA, be prepared to wait a long time before you get service. The only reason I received decent service was because I live within an hour drive of the factory plus I didn’t pay the balance until everything was completed to my satisfaction. Their standard contract wants the balance paid off upon delivery of the cabinets before the installation is finished. Do NOT accept this term. Insist upon final payment after everything is finished otherwise you will have great difficulty getting service.
Finally, Cartier subcontracts the installation. The subcontractor works by himself so he had no help installing the cabinets. He knocked a cap off a water line causing a major flood which wouldn't have happened if he had another person helping him. One of our upper cabinets is already sagging just six months after installation. I wish I had done my homework before purchasing from Cartier. Hopefully if you are reading this review, it will help you with your decision.
