I called because the drain in the basement had backed up during the recent storms. When the guy came, he took a look and said that there was not much he could do just stuff the drains with a plastic bag & duck tape over. The downspouts were the issue and needed to be disconnected (which we did after the 2nd flood). He charged me $ 175 for being here for 10 minutes and not doing anything. It's partially my fault for not asking, but they should have advised what their call out rate is, as that seems really steep for nothing.....

Thank you for your review. We have trained servicemen that will investigate a problem and advise of the appropriate repairs needed. They advise of any charges before they do anything and the service call is waived if work has been approved. The advise given is very peculiar, maybe there was a misunderstanding. Thanks for the input, we will use this to improve our communication skills in the future.
