Customer Service, Delivery time, Return Policy- Horror Stories

To start off, the people in the store are really pushy, and they stick to you from the moment you enter the place, and they want to sell you the half of the items in the store.

I bought a mattress from this place.

I was told that it would take a couple of days. I ended up receiving it after 20 days. From the first day, I told them that it would be better if they could deliver it any time after 1 PM. I know they deliver till 9 PM so I gave them a period of 8 hours!! They insisted that they couldn't guarantee this. It had to be a full day that someone is at home. I even work weekends, so I couldn't do that. I told them that most places give a 4-5 hours window. They insisted and threatened that if nobody was at home, I would have to pay another 70 dollars for the return delivery, and 70 dollars to get it in another day!! I took the day off, and guess what? They arrived after 3 PM. I could have been at home normally after work if they were not so stubborn.

This is the last time I am going to buy anything from this place.

Horrible service

Sales person sold the thing with premium warranty for 5 years covers everything. When call customer care, the rep asked me to call parts. When call parts, the rep asked me to call customer care. When asked for supervisor, call transferred to customer care. No respect and rude. Enough with them. Never step in this store again.

Oven

I have a warranty from the brick on my stove but it's worthless buying! “Don’t buy this warranty because they don’t honour it. The door for the stove broke and they wouldn't ads rot fixing it!!!!!! That's ridiculous

Refurbished tv for replacement

I'm very angry about the quality of The brick and Sony right now!!!! My father got a TV from the brick and got an extended warranty for it and he had a problem with it and they went and sent him a refurbished one that didn't work then another one that glitches and now on a third refurbished one that when he tries to use the smart tv programs that are allowed on it and it will glitch and turn off!!!!!!! This is crap and they don't do nothing about it!!!!! It's bull that you pay extra for a warranty expecting if something happens you would get a proper replacement and not some refurbished crap!!!!! This is unacceptable!!!!!

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER SALE

I WENT TO THE BRICK IN VAUGHAN 3 WEEKS AGO THEY SO FRIENDLY UNTIL I PAYED MY MONEY.
THEY TOLD ME THAT MY FURNITURE WILL ALL BE DELIVERED NEXT WEEK I HAD A BEDROOM, SOFA, FREEZER, 3 MATTRESSES, COFFEE TABLE, DINING TABLE WITH CHAIRS.
I RECEIVED THE COFFEE TABLE AND THE SOFA AFTER 6 DAYS AND THEY DIDN'T ASSEMBLE THE COFFEE TABLE I HAD TO DO IT THE DELIVERY PEOPLE WHERE VERY UNFRIENDLY AFTER THAT IT TOOK THEM 3 WEEKS TO DELIVER THE REST EACH ITEM ON A DIFFERENT DAY THAT LAST MATTRESS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DELIVERED TODAY AT 2:45PM TILL 5:45PM THEY BRAUGH IT AT 9:00 PM.
THIS WILL GO ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA EVERYONE WILL KNOW NOT TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THE BRICK ANYMORE AND WILL GO ON RADIO MORNING SHOWS .

At the brick you are guilty until proven guilty

Our GE range which is 3 years old.
2weeks ago my wife was cooking on the cooktop and we heard a bang sound when we looked st the cooktop the thing had shattered. So dummy us we called the brick warranty department I mean we paid $350 for it 100% coverage the salesman said. Well it's been two frustrating weeks of sending photos of the cooktop and there service department saying it is an impact break without seeing it in person. Just beware when you shop at the brick they love to take your money but when it comes to providing service you are on your own. I will never shop at the brick again

New Couch

Bought a new couch from here. I had a store credit from a previous couch for which I bought an extended warranty. I never get those, but I am glad I did this time. The warranty cost $100 at the time (it's more now) and they gave me a full refund for the previous couch in the form of a store credit. My first couch was a floor model on a huge discount so they would only reimburse what I paid but I was fine with that since they gave full value.

Anyway, I bought a new couch on sale and it's perfect for what I need. I have two toddlers and a dog so I'm not looking for anything high end. I just want something decent that I won't freak out about if it doesn't last long. I'll get 'adult' furniture when the kids leave!

I was happy with what I got, happy with the extended warranty and they knocked off half the delivery cost.

I only gave 3 on recommend because I wouldn't recommend them to everybody necessarily. If you want affordable furniture, then yes. If you're something high end then this might not be for you.

Horrible!!!!

We bought a couch from here on August 16. Turns out, even though it's a "small space" couch, it wouldn't fit into our basement. I was told by the delivery men I would receive a call that day to discuss options. Two days later (after hearing nothing from them) I tried calling in. They literally NEVER answer the phone. In the 15 times I've attempted to call them, no one has ever once answered the phone. I went to the brick and gave them the measurements of the basement entryway and they showed me a couch that would fit. Fine. Couldn't get the same price THAT day so I was told to come back during their tent sale. Did so and eventually got a delivery date. My contractor was home (not me) and I was told it didn't fit in the doorway!!!! I went back to the brick (because once again, no one answers phones) and was told it 100% fits and will be re delivered in another 4 days. Wtf?! Now I'm waiting for my delivery but no one has called to tell me a time frame and no one answers the phone so I will have to go to the store AGAIN and try to find out when I may receive my couch 1 MONTH after I originally paid for it!!!!!!!!

Poor service

I have received the worst customer service after being a loyal customer for 5 years. We bought a couch 2 months ago and were promised for a delivery by July 2nd. With a huge family function coming up we wanted to exchange our old couch which we had warranty for a new couch which we paid for with delivery. On July 2nd we waited for our couch delivery, nothing came. We contacted a customer service representative who assured us we would get a call back.

It has now been 2 months with no follow up from management and we are still suffering with old couch. This is the worst service and management structure. The customer service represenatatives refuse to transfer you to management. They do not address themselves by their names so you never know who you are talking to.

I am still waiting to hear back from them. Although I am sure no one will call back and I might actually have to take time off work yet again to find out why no one ever calls back and why I still have not received my new couch.

Kitchen Renovation Appliances

Renovating our home including the kitchen and putting in a suite. We purchased our appliances at The Brick in Chilliwack, BC. We ordered our appliances about 2.5 months before we needed them, we told the sales person that it would be some time before we needed the appliances but were encouraged to purchase them anyways. We were told to call 1 week before we needed to have them delivered. Called a week before we needed them and they sold the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Went in and agreed to take the floor model oven and picked a different dishwasher (paid extra $100) because the other one wouldn't be in for 3 weeks. The micorwave was coming in the next week. They would deliver on Friday. On Friday no delivery c contacted The Brick and they told us they don't deliver to my area on Friday's it would come on Tuesday. They delivered on Tuesday but no vent kit and stacker for the washer and dryer. Called them to find out when the stacker was coming and when I could pick up the microwave. They didn't know when the stacker would be available and the microwave is not coming for another 3 weeks. Went through the fridge and the crisper drawer was cracked. Set up the water in the fridge for the water dispenser and when we poured a cup of water the interior of the fridge has water running down the door and on the shelves. Called the Brick they told me it was Samsungs problem. Called Samsung they told me it was the Bricks problem for the first 30 days. Samsung would help me if The Brick continued to be uncooperative. Called the Brick they said they would replace the fridge.
What a nightmare. Do not shop at The Brick customer service is terrible. We have a whole house to furnish will not go back. I am a Realtor I have already started to tell every realtor I know about my experience and I will tell every client I have about this. I don't want anyone else have to endure this company's extremely poor customer service.
