Betz Pools

We absolutely love our new pool, our backyard, and our cabana/poolhouse. For the past two years, we've used them virtually every day from early April until late October. We had an extremely satisfying experience with Betz. From the design process, through costing out the project, to construction and finalization, the people from Betz were helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. As our project manager, Marc Luff was always available to assist. We were also extremely impressed with a number of Betz's subtrades (notably, Driftwood Construction and Stone Valley Landscaping, as well as Spectral Lighting and Phazer Electric), whose excellent work and friendly and skilled personnel made the job smoother and much more pleasant. Their choice of first-rate subtrades reflected very well on Betz as a company. The service (maintenance, cleaning, follow-up, etc.) that we have received since the completion of the pool has also been excellent.

I just want to thank Marc and the Betz team for an outstanding job on our pool construction. From the very first meeting with Marc it was clear these guys knew what they were talking about. We had interviewed several large pool companies but felt most comfortable with Betz. Their reputation as a quality pool company was upheld. I have recommend them to several close friends who also went with Betz. When small issues arose they were always taken care of. Marc was always receptive to finding solutions and making sure we were completely satisfied. From pool construction to after care service Betz pools lived up to their reputation. Thank you guys!

Fulfilling a deep desire to have a backyard pool we chose Betz as we had heard that they were one of the very best in the Pool Industry. Our experience with them was top tier from day one. Our Sales Rep Mark Luff was professional, knowledgeable and very accommodating and always made himself available upon request. All staff and crew who worked on the job were supportive, very courteous and highly skilled resulting in delivering a product that surpassed our expectations.
During the construction phase all crews were punctual, never looking at the clock even working late into the evening when necessary as there were the occasional rain delays. They were always very mindful of our neighbours and cleaned the surroundings including sidewalks and roadways at the end of the work day. So much so that our neighbours commented how respectful they were. They always secured all work related equipment ensuring that the site was safe.
We now have the backyard oasis of our dreams and have been able to share it with family and friends who have heaped nothing but praise......the immediate response always being WOW this is outstanding/amazing!!! We are extremely happy and are very eager to recommend Betz to anyone thinking about installing a pool. It's now been approximately 2 months since job completion and even now Mark still checks on us from time to time to ensure that everything is running smoothly!!!! We give them a 10 out of 10!

We recently replaced the tired and dated looking vinyl liner in our 20 X 40 inground pool. After contacting some local pool companies we decided to go with Betz Pools. From the initial contact to the on-time installation, our sales person was extremely knowledgeable and very patient. Initially we were unsure about what colour/pattern to pick, so we went with the advice of our rep and chose a darker pebble pattern - we couldn't be happier with the outcome. I would highly recommend using Betz Pools for any of your pool needs.

From the initial meeting with Marc to discuss several potential plans for our new vinyl pool, landscaping and concrete patio design, our experience with Betz was first class. Whether it was the honest advice we received on what works and what is not necessary in the never-ending world of upgrades, gadgets and various other options or the professional dealings that Betz provided with our neighbours to ensure smooth relations during the construction phase of the project, we had absolutely no complaints and would recommend the company to friends and family. In a remarkably short time our backyard was transformed into something beyond our expectations and we’ve been happy to show off the great results to anyone considering a vinyl pool by Betz.

This project was a disaster. They "completed" the work this year which is 3 years after they started. (in quotes because it's still not 100% complete). In all fairness however, we were using the pool in the first summer. They sold too many projects and couldn't deliver on these.

As timelines started slipping, I started withholding payments. That was one way of getting some attention from them. They immediately put a lien on my house. A clear abuse of power on their part as I was paying when they completed work. I always intended to pay and I did. So the legal process was additional expense I really didn't appreciate. Good way to treat your customers!

Betz uses contracts for most of the work. After speaking to a few of these folks, it's clear that Betz negotiates them to a very low cost and Betz takes a very high mark-up. The contractors are left cutting corners to make money off the deal.

After 3 years, I'm still having issues with my irrigation system and my backyard deck glass railings. I now have a worse irrigation system than when I started. The company for the railings is completely unresponsive and even Betz can't get them to get back to us. We decided to take matters in our own hands since nothing was moving with Betz. They only respond when they want their money.

They finally removed the lien on the house and we came to an agreement on the total cost.

I DO NOT recommend Betz to anyone. If you use them it's because of the reputation they have built and are quickly eroding.

Save some money and use anyone else!

THey do my pool opening and closing and weekly maintenance. No complaints although sometimes they rush the job and I have had them come back to reclean. (When I have complained, they come right back, no questions asked).

Would highly recommend them for your pool.
