Better Contracting Services

I started to work on my roof and soon realized that the job was too much for me to do by myself. Through a reference I was put in touch with Better Contracting and they were willing to take over the job and complete it. work was done relatively quickly and the workmanship was excellent. Workers were friendly. The additional materials used for waterproofing and flashing gave me peace of mind about the guarantee of the work. They also replaced my skylight including rebuilding the framing which greatly improved the thermal and waterproof properties leaving my house more comfortable (warmer and less drafty).

Excellent quality service and very responsive. They understand the roofing business and are often available on short notice for a follow-up or question. After initial assessment, they take pictures and show you the issues with your roof and gutters to help you make the right decision. Would highly recommend!

I would like to say these are the best roofing contractors I ever had the pleasure to meet. They were on time and worked diligently to replace my leaky roof. I must say these guys were the best contractors I have ever worked with. I would like to say thanks to all the guys from Murray the sales rep to the roofers Vlad the foreman, Adriano, Dixon and Giovanni. They did an amazing Job. Congrats to all and thanks for a Job well done.

My relative recommended Better Contracting Services as he used them several times. My mother's roof needed to be replaced and her chimney needed to be torn down as she had flashing problems for a few years. Murray came by to inspect the roof then later provided a quote. The company replaced the shingles and tore down the chimney in 2 days. I wish to thank Byron (chimney) and Vlad (roof) teams for an excellent job. The 2 teams came on time and they were professional, friendly, and the whole team answered any questions or concerns that I had. Once they completed the job, they cleaned up the area around the house. I would recommend them to my family and friends and I would use them again for other jobs.

Based on Holmes TV show as a recommended contractor we got Better to do our eaves troughs.

Ran eaves and downspouts differently to what we asked. Attached one downspout to a window frame. Connected one down spout to the storm drain which is illegal in Toronto.

We got drain leaf guards on 5" troughs. Sounds great until the installed one trough right under the roof edge leaving less than an inch exposed which pushed water into our living room all down the interior wall.

Cam back and fixed the window down spout and storm drain downspout but left he old straps attached to the house.

I withheld 10% payment until they came and fixed a final few things they hadn't completed but they refused to come and fix anything until I paid in full. I didn't pay so they voided my warranty.

This was followed by abusive and aggressive phone calls and conveniently stretched truths.

Apparently the owner called me and talked to me but he must have had the wrong number.

Would not recommend, terrible experience.

Great company and a great job. This is the 3rd time Ive used this company and they never let you down. Very professional and they always clean up. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. Great job Vlad and I will continue to use your services when I require them.

Some 18 years ago when we bought our last house, we hired this company to replace the existing flat roof and the mansard facade (2nd empire historic house). The job was complicated, and took some time, but the end result looked fantastic, and even better, we did not have one problem with the roof over the next 17 years.

We recently moved and bought a house with a complicated and unfortunately leaky roof. ( Butterfly roof). We were again pleased to hire Better Contracting for this work. We relied on their expert assessment of the issues and agreed to their recommended solutions. Ivan and the crew worked quickly, and because of the threat of rain one evening, worked late into the evening to ensure our home stayed dry.

There are alot of "expert" roofers in the GTA. Many roofing companies that are open for a year or two, and then close, and along with that business closure, the end of any warranty or gaurantee of their work. This family run business, now in its 2nd generation can be proud of its work and deserves its well earned good reputation. We highly recommend them.

Third time using Better Contracting. Project started out a little unorganized - took a few days to get it completed but by the end, we were completely satisfied. The overall workmanship was excellent. Jake & Matt did an excellent job and took care of the little details. Would use them again in the future. Thanks

The quality of work acceptional. Great workmanship. The flashing and siding have been finished very well. Looks amazing. Polite crew and we used this company twice and will use again. The roofers worked so hard and put alot of time and effort into the job.

This is my first time using homestars. I didn’t know who to call to help me add vents for the bathrooms in my new home (as I needed to install fans) I’ve seen better contracting working with Mike Holmes on the show, their work looks professional and I trust Mike’s judgement.
AND WOW. I am very happy with thier work!! They were fast, professional, kind, and courteous. As a woman I was a bit worried that I would get treated like I knew noting or that I wasn’t in charge, but they kept me in the loop (even though it was a fast job) and they made sure I was happy and understood everything that was going on. I recommend going with better contracting for your roofing needs.
