Home Built

I too agree with Mike do not buy beaverhall homes. My husband and i purchased our house in feb 2009, this summer august 2010, we found a hole in our garage leading to the basement that was covered with tape and painted over, so it looked like the wall was finished. it was a 10x10 hole in the wall, that lead straight in the top of my basement, we only found this hole because we saw a mouse run into the crack and we went to fix the hole ourselves until we found out how big it was. That was one of the major problems we had with this company, now i can go on about the 30 other not so major but not minor things that they still have yet to fix in our house, we just gave up on asking them to come in a fix things and just started to it ourself so we new it was done properly.

Approximate cost of services:
$244,000.00

Beaverhall Water Leaks

We purchased in Beaverhall Phase 2 - and have also had a number of water leaks 3 to be exact- reading the previous review I am alarmed that we too may experience something similar to Mike. One was a leak into the basement as result of not sealing the patio doors properly, the 2nd was in the great room right under the ensuite shower. The drywaller who came to fix the hole cut in the shower wall to check the pipes found another problem in the corner that indicated that it was actually coming from outside, through the ceiling vent/flap, down the wall across the beams resulting in water on the great room ceiling. The 3rd was a hole in the pipe coming from the main bathroom to the basement and water literaly just ran down the pipe to the basement. After a couple cuts in the wall they found this leak and patched it up. Overall I have been disappointed with the speed with which any repair items have been serviced and the lack of customer service support. Ironically we had bought Beaverhall because of friends in Phase I who experienced nothing short of good service. One other word of caution for anyone who thinks roughed in central vac means put your unit in and go - this is not the case, you would actually be looking for a complted rough in. Beaverhall may not be the best builder out there but I don't think they are the worst. No matter the builder it seems everyone settles to some degree and accepts the poor quality and poor service levels as just part of buying a new home.

Home built by Beaverhall Milton

I have a piece of advice for those looking to buy a new home. Avoid a BEAVERHALL home at all costs. My wife and I bought a Beaverhall home and at the 2 year, 3 month mark we noticed water marks on the ceiling of our kitchen. These were the result of a very slow leak coming from the shower stall of the master bathroom. Our contractor, Tarion and Beaverhall's own contractor who did the work all confirmed that the problem existed since the house was first finished. Have they come to fix the problem... No and they don't plan to. Beaverhall is completely fine with risking their entire reputation on the fact that the so called new home warranty is 3 months past the timeline. Therefore their so called description of their service,

"Proud of their superior customer service, Beaverhall Homes
is backed by Tarion. The owners of every Beaverhall home can
feel confident that their new home has been constructed to
quality standards by a builder who is dedicated to complete
customer service."
Avoid Beaverhall at all costs
