Leather Couch

Bought a $1200 couch this week on the recommendations of both the sales man and the store manager at the Burlington location, on how the measurement for depth was 27 inches and after telling them the measurements of the passageway into our basement, they assured us "100% no problem it would fit" and that their delivery men would help to get it down there

Biggest load of rubbish I ever heard they just said it to get the sale, the delivery men refused to take it down they said it wouldn't fit, they left it in the driveway for us to try and get down there, which we did try because the manager was so adamant it would squash down if we took the packaging off, ended up with a small tear in the leather and it absolutely doesn't fit because its 38 inches not 27

We are left sitting on lawn chairs in our new place because we have a slightly damaged couch we cant use and are now unable to afford a new until after Christmas

Thanks so much Bad Boy you really lived up to your name!

READ THE FINE PRINT - No refunds, only a store credit (likely for an item they don't have and you want).

If you're tempted by: End of lease, grand opening or anniversary sales of any sort form this store - get over it and go somewhere else. This location is trapped in a used car sales mentality from the sixties.

My wife and I simply went in to upgrade our kitchen appliances. We did our research and knew what brand, model and price range we were prepared to pay. We picked them out, ordered and paid in full. Simple enough - right?

... WRONG.

I went home and remeasured the fridge opening. Seems I ordered the 33'' when I actually needed the 30''. Easy enough I thought, I'll simply drop by and change the size to the smaller model. The sales agent was the one who actually suggested I double check and call her with the appropriate size - so I did.

This is where the funny business begins. After a lot of " let me talk to my manger type of encounters", it ends with ... it's going to cost you more money - for a smaller fridge??? And, we don't have it in stock, so you'll have to wait an additional couple of weeks for delivery.

Considering I just ordered it 10 hours ago, I didn't think it wouldn't be a problem to simply cancel the order and get a refund. I knew I could get something similar elsewhere. Seems they did too, and that's when the strong arm tactics began.

The first words out of the Manager's mouth were "READ THE FINE PRINT, NO REFUNDS. STORE CREDIT". That's it. Funny thing is, that a store credit would have been fine ... if they had access to the items I wanted to purchase.

The marketplace is large enough to avoid having to be treated like this over new kitchen appliances.

It was truly an eye-opener to me that in this day and age, such 'old world' business ethics are still at play.

Save yourself the aggravation and find a local independent, or try and order direct from the manufacturer. Damn I hate saying that, but really, the service I had over this seemingly simple transaction was beyond slippery.

new furnitures

i bought chairs which are now delayed for another month. while at their store i mentioned we were going to look at getting a new washer and dryer, then i got phoned stalked by their sales person phoning me all the time. im fed up with this stupid store. as a result we have gotten our washer and dryer and sofa elsewhere. had i known there would be a 2 months wait for my chairs i would have bought them elsewhere. this store sucks. . i will not shop there again EVER and i have referred all my friends to other stores as a result

Bedroom set

WORST service ever!
Do NOT shop at Bad Boy. I went and bought a bedroom set from the Kitchener location. They originally told me there was a delay on the set because the warehouse was closed for a few weeks and I would have to wait a couple more weeks. Initially, I was fine with this. They then called me to say it would be over a month wait. Over a period of 3 weeks, they continued to call me periodically with different answers every time. They then changed their answer to the set was discontinued and I would not be able to receive this one and I would have to pick another one. I did not like any others and asked for my money back. However, they stated this wasn't their policy. I am paying a lot of money and want to love the furniture I choose, I don't want to be forced to pick a runner up and be ok with it because they don't give refunds. I felt like I was getting the run around by them. The next day I called the store manager to complain. He said he would call me back in 10minutes because he was busy. I waited 2 hours and still did not hear back. I ended up calling again. He stated he called another store and found my set and would have the whole set delivered to me on my chosen date. He told me I shouldn't get a discount because "I was getting everything I wanted". Well...on the day of delivery, the chest of drawers was damaged and had to be taken back. I never received the head/foot board for the bed, or the night tables. When questioned, they stated it head/foot board was on back order and that they don't have the end tables anymore. I was given a false promise by the store manager that I would have everything. I called the store manager once again, and he said he never said I would get the whole set, but instead he was going to "mix and match" a bunch of furniture to make a set. That is the most disrespectful and awful customer service ever. I am at the age that everyone I know is buying furniture and have made it a point to tell everyone to avoid Bad Boy. I will never ever set foot near a Bad Boy again. Their name says it all...BAD service, BAD staff, BAD products, BAD customer service. I deserve my money back.

3 pcs living room

On Aug 23,2013, my wife & I purchased a 3 piece living room set from Bad Boy located at 1199 Kennedy Rd for $1350. A week later we received a flyer in the mail from a furniture company located one block north of Bad Boys selling the exact same living room set from the exact same manufacturer for $899 no tax. I went back to the Bad Boys store and showed the store Manager Paul the flyer and asked him to match the price. I was very surprised to have the same Manager that helped sell me this set treat me in such a dismissive & disrespectful manner. He stated that Bad Boys only matches prices with the Brick and Leon's. I told him that his "I Trust Guarantee" says I am guaranteed the lowest price for life. He flicked his hand at me in a dismissive manner and walked away from me refusing to talk to me. I left the store feeling dirty (yes dirty) that I had picked this establishment to purchase anything from. I went back to the store a second time and showed a different Manager the same flyer and got a different response. He stated that because there wasn't a model # on the flyer they wouldn't match their price. When I contacted the Head Office they said they couldn't do anything to help. Now I am not the type of person that complains very often as a matter of fact this is the first time I have ever filed a complaint online however this company is the only company I've ever dealt with that made me feel dirty when asking them to honor their own guarantee. I can assure you I will never ever do business again with a company that treats it's customers with such distain.

3 seater leather couches

We ordered two 3 seater couches leather from Last Man's bad boy in Mississauga on June 02. When we placed the order the sales person told us they had a promotion on for a week but if ordered in the next day or two we could receive the couches by the end of June. We were selling our existing couches at the end of the month so we went ahead and placed the order on June 2. The delivery was supposed to be for June 28. June 28 came and went and we didn't hear anything. I called the store on the 29th and complained to the manager Tina that i hadn't received the couches. She initially said, it was because i hadn't come in and paid the remainder on the account that they gave our couches to the next customer on the list. When i challenged that theory saying "Why would you give away couches that we have paid a deposit on without notifying me that i needed to pay the balance" she changed her story. She pretended to check the system and changed the reason to be "Actually, there were only 4 couches that came in and yours are delayed from the manufacturer". i insisted that you don't tell a client on the day after their scheduled delivery that your couches are delayed. i said until when are they delayed and she couldn't give me a straight answer again but said around mid July. Mid July came and went and still no couches and no call until i called in. i was furious and called in again and she insisted they would be here end of the month and gave me a $50 credit towards the balance for the inconvenience. needless to say, end of July came and went and we cancelled the order. never got use of the $50 credit, wasted 2 months without couches as we had sold our old couches and no apology or any sort of service compensation from bad boy. NEVER AGAIN.

matress

I purchased Matress with protector and Frame (floor Model) as was delivered with little grease stain. within 2 months, the matress is so soft and bend that we have to see doctor for back pain. When called customer service , they saying this is no warranty since they delivered with grease stain on the side. How can you know, if littel stain on the sides of matress.

Solid Gold Guarantee

Bought a Canadian made leather sofa and couch 2 years ago and opted for the Solid Gold Guarantee. We have damage to both couch and sofa, quality only held up for so long... do you think they are helping us out? We took pictures and emailed them and they say the Solid Gold doesn't cover the damages. Meanwhile the guarantee was for 50 months! I will never ever ever in my life buy anything anymore from Bad Boy or any other similar store again. I'd rather go to a smaller business where you deal with actual owners. You pay a bit more but at least you pay for the real deal AND I'm sure the customer service will be a positive experience as smaller businesses DO appreciate business!

sectional sofa

I bought a sectional sofa among other furniture totalling about $6,000.00. I have been receiving the furniture in bits and pieces. Delivery was never on time. Would call customer service and store manager at least 20 times a day. Half of my sectional sofa is still missing and now they are saying the it is discontinued therefore they cannot deliver the missing parts. The Brick has the same sectional sofa so I don't understand how is could be discontinued. I have never had such awful experience in my life. I will never shop at bay boy again and won't allow any of my friends and family buy anything from them also.

dining room table, chairs and sectional

We went to the store and picked out a sectional and dining room table and chairs, we were quite clear as to which products we wanted. They order the wrong sectional and then told us we wouldn't be able to have our order delivered for over a month! Finally after the month had passed they call us to say we now have to pick up the order at the store because we didn't order delivery. (we did) The intructions for assembly were unlegible so we did our best at set up. It was ok quality was very cheap and our brand new sectional had marks on it. We decided to suck it up because the service so far had been unbareable. This November one of my chairs broke while my sister was seated at the table for dinner, it was split at every corner (my sister is by no means heavy) After 3 hours on the phone they finally put me in touch with their warranty service who told me they had to sent someone to see if it was fixable or not. I explained to them that it was completly split therefore unfixable but still they sent a man who as soon as he walked in asked to use my bathroom (I found this very rude) took one look at the chair and said I can't fix that. He then sat on my couch and took 30 min to fill out a form saying he couldn't fix it. I then had a man from the warehouse calling me everyday to make arrangements to pick up the replacement chair. (we live an hour from the store) So I went to the store where they had no idea what I was talking about. A lady at the desk finally found my information and said oh they deleted your order. WHAT?! and you don't bother to call me and tell me that before I drive an hour to your store to find out my chair isn't even there. The lady promised me that she would follow up. It's now June and I had to call again (another hour on the phone) for them to tell me ok I order a chair. If it was that easy then why didn't someone do that in the first place? I absolutely would NEVER recommend Bad Boy to anyone, not even my worst enemy. It was brutal! We will see if I even have a chair next month. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE !!!
